Lovely looking pub, nice village setting, we hadn't booked, called in just after 2pm on the off chance we could get a Sunday roast & we were massively disappointed! Staff were polite & friendly, good choice of beers / ales. Pub was fairly busy lots of people eating. The gravy was like water & tasted so bland, the potatoes were...

A real village community pub with 5 rooms. Our room was large, clean and comfortable and had pleasant views across the surrounding countryside. Bar and restaurant very busy and obviously popular with locals. We were ok but heard many a grumble about the length of time they were waiting for food and then complained about that. The girls serving were...

Disappointing Sunday lunch. Greek salad was a huge bowl full of lettuce leaves a scattering of tiny bits of feta cheese and a handful of olives. Roast beef tough and dry, tasteless veg. We called in here last November and had a lovely lunch, doubtful whether we will return.

We needed lunch and stopped here. Sunday roast sounded nice. We ordered beef (dry and tough), roast potatoes (probably microwaved), vegetables (the best bit but microwaved too), Yorkshire pudding (soggy and stodgy) and the gravy was warm and tasteless.

We stayed at this lovely Inn as a last minute break. Its in a little village 2 miles from Brixham. Our room was big and clean and we had a fridge with drinks in. We arrived early at 12-30pm but as our room was ready we were given the key rather than having to wait till 2-30pm. Very friendly staff...

We stayed for one night for a nearby family wedding, and were more than happy with everything. We arrived before the official check in time, but this was not a problem at all as our room (Room 4) was nearly ready. We had a couple of drinks in the bar while we waited and were then shown to our room...

The whole family with boyfriends and girlfriends made a daft decision to go to lunch at 14:00. We actually arrived at 14:20 (10 minutes before they stop serving) With many places I have been to, they seem to be slightly miffed at the thought of cooking so close to closing time, this did not happen here. I arrived alone 5...

Stayed one night to attend a family party. Stayed in room 1- spotlessly clean and spacious. Bathroom likewise. Good hospitality tray with good selection of tea/ coffee and great biscuits. Comfy bed slept very well, heard very little from pub downstairs. Excellent cooked breakfast the following morning, cooked and served by a lovely lady. Served piping hot with cafetiere of...

We stayed in room 1 which was spotlessly clean, spacious and staff very welcoming. We were attending a wedding nearby so were able to have an early check in to change into our wedding attire. Lovely quiet location in the village and it seemed as if the pub side is good as it was busy. Staff ordered a taxi for us...
