Arrived on a rainy afternoon in February to a warm welcome. A drink before dinner in a comfortable and very welcoming fire. Dinner was faultless - menu, presentation, quality of ingredients, etc. Only observation is that some aspects of the property as starting to look a bit dated, though well maintained. Would recommend and would return.

This restaurant is very intimate with a lovely setting. The food was good but all came out quite quickly, all courses in an hour and half. The choice of alcohol was fantastic. The food was very rich though and would of benefitted from a palette cleanser. It was a very relaxing atmosphere, perhaps a bit too much so, depending on...

When we arrived I thought ohh this is a bit small than I imagined but looks are deceiving. When in rang the bell were greeted, taken to room offered fresh milk and...

Fabulous place to stay. We've stayed here several times & it never fails to impress. Spotlessly clean, lovely rooms and en-suites, friendly & comfortable. Richard himself is a superb host and chef. The freshly cooked, locally sourced food served in the restaurant is outstanding and the breakfasts superb too! If you are looking for a small, high quality hotel serving...

It certainly was. From the view of the property as we pulled off the quiet country lane to the welcome at the door, to...

It is actually our fifth time here in six years and for a high quality, private and understated hotel - its hard to beat. The setting is lovely, the rooms tastefully furnished and small touches such as still and sparkling water and fruit etc in the...

Apart from the very tasteful accommodation. this small hotel really sells itself with its imaginative, beautifully cooked and well presented food. we never saw more than two staff but they provided a first class unobtrusive service throughout the stay. Just the place for a special overnight stay.
