If you are looking for B and B at its best outside busy Padstow, then look no further than Woodlands Country House... We stayed for 3 nights, the house is beautiful, full of character, friendly helpful staff, the owners couldn't be more welcoming , they are full of interesting conversation about the history of the house and the area, the breakfasts...

Stayed as part or my husbands birthday celebrations for 3 nights. We had room 11 at the back in an extension with great view over the fields to the sea. Pippa and Hugo are lovely as is the "breakfast lady". Woodlands is quirky, full of character, breakfasts are great and rooms very well equipped, the only thing stopping a full...

Thank you for your comments. Yes, Room 11 is on the list for a re-decorating, the bathroom is getting new shelves and a proper shower screen (which is, shamefully, much over-due) and re-decorated. The terrace was re-done last year. We hope you will pop back and see the difference.

We stayed at Woodlands Court as a birthday treat in October. From the moment we arrived, we felt extremely comfortable and enjoyed our stay very much. We loved little touches such as the honesty bar in the blue room. We travelled with our dog and would highly recommend this B and B to anyone travelling with a furry friend, as...

Very kind of you - lovely comments. You stayed in Room 2 - which is the smallest room in the house, and, we have just been told, Matron's Room when this house was a Fleet Air Arm Hospital during the last war. Old soldiers and nurses would visit Woodlands (no so much now) and want to see Matron's Room as...

We spent three days at Woodlands which we found to be as perfect as you could expect a B&B to be. Very, welcoming, comfortable and every morning you begin the day with the most hearty breakfast. We will definitely return

This bed and breakfast / hotel is probably as good as you'll get anywhere - charming! We've stayed in many modern 5 star hotels, but this gentile b&b offers the personal touch along with the high quality. It's a little quirky, but that adds to its charm. The welcome and 'tour' of the building on arrival soon identifies its high...

We stopped here for a couple of nights for pleasure/business. Our hosts where very helpful & recommended a few local eateries. First night we went to the Cornwall, which is only about 10 mins drive. Not a great choice on the menu, but the food was nice. They welcome dogs & there was a lot of children, but the noise...

Your comments on breakfast were lovely; Pippa makes the lemon curd, and the muesli is indeed local, very local, as we make it in our small production area at the back of the hotel! Much as we would love to do an evening meal, we decided that Padstow is full of wonderful places. We also have little room for any...

My husband and I stayed at Woodlands for one night's bed and breakfast. It is a beautiful property with character and in walking distance to Padstow. We were impressed with the special touches at each part of our stay from the fresh milk for tea/coffee, homemade biscuits and luxury toiletries in the room to the honesty bar downstairs. The breakfast...

Pippa and Hugo Woolley were most helpful and accommodating when they learned of my wife's mobility problems and allowed us to switch rooms after one night. The rooms are well furnished, clean and have everything anyone could possibly need. The breakfasts are really superb, with so much on offer - much of it created by Hugo and Pippa themselves. We...
