We stayed for 1 night on 2nd September in a twin Seaview room on 2nd floor. View was good and very well located, especially for Rick Steins , just a stones throw away. The hotel is very dated for the price and our room was extremely hot which we could not control, even with a small fan that was supplied. Very...

Just spend another lovely weekend at the Metropole, food was fantastic as ever and the service was excellent. The bar and lounge is now a lovely area since removing the wall. We also take our dog and all the staff are very friendly towards her.

Sadly only 1 night, lovely views from the restaurant and bar and food to match. The old facade hides what is a pleasant location with well trained staff that work as a team. We booked late and asked for a sea view room which is what we had but would have preferred a room on a higher floor to have...

Stayed for 3 nights in early August. Room was very spacious and kept well clean. All areas within hotel are welcoming and friendly. Outside of hotel, due to age of building is looking a little tired around the edges BUT this does not detract from the popularity and enjoyment of the accommodation!

Great comfortable and friendly 3 night stay away, yes the hotel is a little dated in places. It has fab views and good friendly service with quality food. The hotels location means you don't necessarily feel sunk in the throb of the town at busy times. No internet in the all rooms - so what, perhaps look up from our...

We have often passed this Hotel on our visits to Padstow and were looking for place to have Sunday lunch but didn't feel like the usual pub Sunday lunch. This hotel has the all the traditions of the British hotel, the restaurant overlooks Padstow or across to Rock ( ask for a table window when booking) . Traditional linen cloths...

Let's face it--Padstow is Cornwall on steriods--thank to Rick Stein and his family ventures. Because of that draw (and new lovely add-ons of the National Lobster Hatchery, a few good shops, and FOOD), people come to Padstow from near and far. Unless one is committed to staying several days or have a cottage there, there are limited hotel options. Which...

We had two rooms for a family of six. Would have preferred one room to halve the price, but we booked late and the hotel did its best (or sounded like it did over the telephone) to offer us a reasonable deal. Final cost was £1524 for three nights B&B (£254 per room per night). Each room was supposed to...

The team at the Metropole take care of "the little things" which make a stay enjoyable and memorable. Superb service is the key to making a break special and I took my wife to the Metropole to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. We took advantage of their special Romantic Break offer (definitely worth doing with Sparkling Wine, Chocolate covered strawberries, and...
