We recently stayed at the Port Gaverne Inn and felt we had to write a review of this lovely Cornish pub. Arriving on a cold, misty afternoon we were greeted by the friendly staff. The open fire soon warmed us up and we tucked in to the best crab sandwich ever, washed down with glass of Tribute. The pub is...

Arrived back today from this charming hotel having stayed for 3 nights. The staff are welcoming, friendly, courteous and attentive. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The food in the evenings lived up to expectations and was exceptional.

We enjoyed a family early supper here. Although busy, staff were friendly and helpful with drinks and ordering. Cooking to an excellent standard makes this a stand out place to visit repeatedly, as clearly was the case with many happy diners. Although not cooked, the Porthilly oysters were plump and fantastic to eat, possibly the best I've ever eaten. To...

Needless to say we all were very taken with the warm friendly atmosphere and welcoming greetings from Staff and guest alike. As we were a little early for our room, we decided...

Had the most amazing meal here Saturday evening with my boyfriends family as we are on holiday. Looks much smaller from the outside than it really is! It is very cosy inside and is modern and up to date however still has the traditional pub feel. The staff were very nice and attentive. Especially the main guy who chatted with...

Stayed recently, lovely hotel; certainly a little bit over priced, example bottle Pino grigio £20, come on that is grossly over priced. Lovely food. Rooms in loft should state steep stairs and may not be suitable for people with mobility difficulties. My sister in law would not have been able to climb those stairs, so we had the loft room....

Been staying here for over 25 years as well, the food in the bar and restaurant was always excellent and varied, with fresh dishes on every night. Menu now exactly the same every day with one special on the board. We did request crab salad which was very good but vastly overpriced compared with the pub in Port Isaac. Management...

The wife and I had two very enjoyable nights at the Port Gaverne Hotel. A warm welcoming place with great staff. Great bar and good food; the room we had was very nice and the bed was comfortable. We brought our three dogs and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is set in a wonderful position and there are...

Had a couple of meals here on our last visit to Cornwall and enjoyed our visits very much. In a beautiful location at the bottom of a steep hill leading down from Port Isaac. Food, beer and service all good and they were also very welcoming of our dogs.
