Liz & Dennis made us both feel very welcome during our one night stay and have created a relaxed family atmosphere within their home. Great location on the main street next to the harbour. Very comfortable , clean and tasteful accommodation !

You will be hard pressed to find nicer hosts. Liz & Dennis came to our rescue during a recent walking holiday of the Norfolk Coast where we had been let down severely by another B&B. Their hospitality and welcome was excellent and their property a joy to stay at.

My partner and I stayed in the four poster room for 2 nights on a 6 day coastal tour of East Anglia. We were delighted not only with the warm and loving service by our hosts Dennis and Liz, but for their attention to detail in all the rooms. The breakfasts were excellent and we even got a car park...

Merchants House is more than a luxury B+B because we felt Liz and Dennis were letting us share their gorgeous home in Wells. Nothing was too much trouble and we can't wait to return. So handy for Quay and exploring Wells by foot. Superb breakfasts with home made bread! Faultless.

We have just returned from a weekend stay in Wells. The sign in the window statesit is a luxury B&B and that is not a understatement. From entering to leaving we were spoilt. The bedroom we stayed in was a 4 poster bed and really special with an excellent private bathroom. The breakfast is to die for especially the freshly...

Wells next the Sea is a charming place and the Merchants House is a delightful place to stay. The room was comfortable with the odd creaky floor board adding charm to the relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast is delicious served in a plush dining room which made us feel like royalty. Our hosts were always on hand to give advice on the...

Spent two lovely days staying at "The Merchants House". The hosts Liz & Dennis were perfect hosts. The Bedroom (with four poster bed) & bathroom were delightful and the breakfast was delicious with fruit, cereals, and a full English. The overall ambience made our little break very enjoyable.
