We have just returned from a two night half term stay at The Ickworth Hotel with our 5 year old granddaughter. It is an impressive building but it's a bit careworn and the puddled forecourt does not create a luxury image on arrival. However our standard family room was fine and perfectly adequate for the 3 of us. Our room...

This hotel never fails. We booked 4 rooms, for 8....including one baby and one dog. All enjoyed the overnight stay and would return happily. The staff were knowledgable and caring. Just super. All the bedroom were clean and beautifully furnished. The swimming pool was heated to a lovely 30 deg.

We booked this as a last minute treat for our wedding anniversary as we got an excellent deal via Hotels.com and were not disappointed. We were greeted on arrival and checked in quickly, whilst being given all the information we required regarding layout of hotel, choice of restaurants for dinner, leisure facilities etc. After being directed to our room, we...

We have just returned from our trip to The Ickworth, we had a fantastic time. I travelled with my husband, one year old daughter and our Labrador. This hotel caters so well for children and pets. Our one year old loved the toy trunks located on every floor, it was also great that we could relax in the library with...

Myself and partner recently stayed here for my birthday treat. We've stayed on other occasions and we always enjoy returning. A huge thanks to Faye who looked after us right from the booking all through until our journey home. You're a star Faye! We enjoyed another of the smashing rooms within the house, and I was surprised with some lovely...

Food, exquisite. Drinks, excellent. Staff, enthusiastic, exuberant & engaged. The team is really well lead by an obvious leader Adam, he gave time to everyone, even the children, making the meal extra special.

We spent Sunday evening in the hotel and all day Monday in the grounds. If you have children this is an excellent place to bring them. It really is family orientated. There are nooks and crannies almost everywhere with boxes of toys. We arrived on Sunday and went into the drawing room for coffee, there were children everywhere and it...

My wife was given this afternoon tea treat as a gift for her birth. The first twenty minutes started well with a lovely glass of champagne and then it went down hill from there. Just as we started to tuck into the lovely array of food the staff started rearranging the conservatory for the evening menu and so we're sliding...

We booked to stay here for New Years Eve and decided to book an apartment because we wanted our 2 children to have their own room. The room we booked was in The lodge, a separate building from the main hotel, a 5 minute walk away from the main hotel. On arrival it became clear that the Lodge was a...

I had a great 2 night stay at the hotel with my partner and our young child. The hotel has a very relaxed feel being child and animal friendly and the staff are very approachable and helpful. The food is great, I cannot compliment the Chef enough, and there is a nice variety of dishes from the different restaurants. The...
