We chose this inn because of their willingness to accept a two nights for the price of one voucher and were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the accommodation. The inn is in a country village outside Kirkby Lonsdale surrounded by the Yorkshire Dales. The public areas are very comfortable and inviting (there were open fires in the bar...

My husband and I have just returned from a two night stay at the Barbon Inn. The bar/waiting were all excellent and very helpful. Our room was clean and the shower was very powerful. We ate in the restaurant here on both nights; the evening meals were just as good as the breakfast. The location is fantastic for walking- the...

We booked one night in advance only to be telephoned the night before we were due to leave home to travel a considerable distance and told that there had been a double booking and that we were now not able to stay. It came out in the conversation that someone was staying there on a voucher and was wanting their...

Set in the beautiful, quiet village of Barbon the Inn has been there since the middle of the 17th Century in different forms. The bar is small, cosy and intimate. They serve a couple of real ales and a good selection of wines and spirits. The food was very good both at breakfast and at the evening meals. The staff...

We loved our stay, gorgeous country inn. Rooms were lovely, a bit dusty in places nothing bad. It is an old building, but beautiful. Breakfast was amazing, very good. The area is stunning, we loved it. Can't wait to stay again. Thank you for a wonderful stay, see you soon.

We can only guess that there has been a change in personnel as our meal was disappointing and expensive and we will not be going back. The Specials Board was a let down and extremely expensive for the quality of food that was served. When asked had we enjoyed our meal the person we spoke to was not bothered. The...

After a walk in Barbondale, we arrived just after 2 pm, Although the notice outside stated Meals served 12 -2pm we were offered a good selection of substantial bar snacks which we enjoyed. I had a roll containing two very tasty slices of beef served with a small basket of chips and enjoyed a pint of Golden Sheep beer. We...

Website deal. Great venue, we felt the Barbon Inn was a central stay for the Lakes and Yorkshire. Love Yorkshire. This is an old Inn, offering a cosy retreat after a busy day either walking or, exploring with coal fires and comfy sofas.. Many of the residents appeared to be returning guests which in my opinion, is a great recommendation....

We booked this B&B through a trip advisor offer as it was too cold to camp and it was a great little find. We went and did whernside but the only downside was couldn't check inn between 3-6pm so stayed in a pub in Kirby Lonsdale. Staff were friendly and food was good too, would stay again. The only problem,...
