The Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife is a haven of luxury with its diverse amenities, including exceptional pools and live music, contributing to a vibrant and energetic atmosphere. Though some guests find the location a bit too secluded, many are enamored with the tranquility and views. Room opinions are mixed; they are often lauded for their spaciousness yet criticized for cleanliness issues. While the hotel's overall cleanliness receives praise, service at bars can sometimes lag. Travelers are divided on value, balancing the cost of add-ons against the quality of certain services and amenities.

We made a last minute booking to escape for some winter sun.
Great hotel all round, greeted by Jon at reception who gave us an AMAZING room upgrade.

Room: We were offered a free upgrade to a Silver Studio Suite, this was absolutely stunning.
Extremely comfy beds however it was 2x 3/4 doubles pushed together vs. a king size bed. Jacuzzi bathtub, double sink and a furnished outdoor terrace where you could catch the late afternoon sun.
The rooms were equipped with a Bose speaker which we found amazing. The mini fridge in the room is stocked with 2 bottles of water & 2 bottles of coke daily. Rooms clean & quiet.

Food & Drinks:
Food- We stayed all inclusive, breakfast- Mimosas every morning, wide selection of anything and everything, they even had dairy alternative milks and yoghurts.

Lunch & Dinner- Buffet style, wide selection of foods, could sometimes get repetitive- same thing for lunch & dinner offered.

Mexican restaurant- This is a la carte and you must try here!! Beautiful, food and nice to have the limitation of the amount of food vs multiple plates of the buffet

Drinks: REAL drinks in this hotel, real coke, Fanta and redbulls etc, Heineken, Sol, Cruz campo vs. Watered down drinks in other all inclusive hotels.

Pools: Splash pool- full of kids so can be quite noisy and hard to switch off and relax Unfortunately the ‘Eden’ pool which is an adults only pool was shut for maintenance our entire stay. The lagoon pool is a lot bigger than the splash pool, this is where the water activities take place and there is a Dj playing music. I personally found the sun loungers very uncomfortable, no padding and very stern.
There are few circular loungers with padding and a pillow, as usual you had to wake up early to secure these beds but cannot get towels till 09:00. The circular loungers were my favourite!

Entertainment: There is entertainment every evening, both on the 16th and in the hotel. 16th has a DJ every night and in the hotel they had bands/singers.
We absolutely LOVED gotra music and the queen tribute band! 5 ⭐️

Staff: The staff here were absolutely amazing, very welcoming and nothing was too much for them!! We had issues with the Bose speaker, reported it via the app and within 20 minutes a member of staff fixed it! Jon at reception was also an absolute star!

Location: This hotel is approximately 15 minutes away from Las Americqs/Adeje. This will cost a little over 20 euro one way, there are restaurants within a 5 minute walk from the hotel however we didn’t bother with these and got a taxi into Adeje & Las americas.

Overall: This hotel is one of the best in Tenerife, it is very welcoming for families and its several children’s activities a day. It was a shame for the Eden pool to have been shut however this wouldn’t stop us returning again.

Thank you HRH!!

This is the best resort in Tenerife, especially if you have children ! The staff are amazing, the facilities are the best and the food is 10/10, I highly recommend Rock Royalty, the concierge service is so good and the Rock Royalty Lounge is such a lovely place to have a quiter breakfast, it's also fine to take children, there was a lot of children in there while we were there, all very well behaved but it's not too stuffy, nice relaxed atmosphere.

Can't fault Sessions, the food is fab and there's definitely something for everyone, honestly this place is so good and I'm very fussy.

Visited on a day pass as we'd heard other good reviews, the good thing is all the money you spend on the passes goes onto a card you can then use on food and drink, there was five of us and this was more than enough to give us several rounds of drinks and food at the buffet. Parking is available in the car park underneath.

There are lockers available to use by the bottom pool for 1 euro each and toilets are available near to all of the pools. There are changing rooms which include their own toilet and shower and even towels available to use for after you've had a shower. We went early in the day and didn't struggle to get a sun lounger at either of the pools we visited but i'd imagine later in the day you might.

Had a live DJ playing music most of the time by the bottom pool which was great, there is an adult only pool available for those without children and then another pool with a splash pool next to it. There are also cabana's available to rent should you wish to.

Service in the buffet restaurant was great and even got offered complimentary coffee after we were finished (was far too full though!), staff everywhere we went were friendly. Absolutely loved our day here and if we were to visit Tenerife again I would definitely stay here! Thanks for an amazing chilled out day!

The hotel is beautiful with lots of different pools for people of all ages. Location is a little out of the way of any nightlife so a taxi ride will be needed most nights. There are a few restaurants locally but not a great selection. We recommend Bombay Babu and Yummy.

The breakfast selection is great, especially the homemade omelettes. Plenty of choice for everyone. Quite large queues to get into the restaurant in the mornings, however. If you’ve only payed for bed and breakfast, the food and drink is extremely pricey. I paid €14 for two Fanta Lemons which I’m still annoyed at myself for! Water is €3.50 for a small scan when a litre bottle in the supermarket opposite is €1! A portion of Nachos to snack on are €19 - it’s not the cheapest of places to eat. All Inclusive, I believe, can only dine at lunch during a certain hour of the day.

Front of house service was exceptional, everyone was so helpful and friendly. Where the service faltered was at the Adults Only pool, Eden. My friend and I booked a Balinese Bed service for €60 a day, twice, and we had to chase the staff every time we wanted to order a drink. Nobody came over to us during the entirety of the two days - apart from when payment was due, funnily enough.

Ordering a drink was a difficult task too! I’m currently pregnant so was only really drinking water (and lots of it) but every time I tried to order a can of water at the bar, I wasn’t allowed to just take it back to my sunbed. I was told to pay and the staff would bring it to my bed. Sometimes I would wait 20+ minutes for a can of water that I could have just taken myself. I’m still waiting for my Fanta Lemon that I purchased on the last day before flying home…

I feel the staff were overwhelmed with capacity and I did feel for them but at the end of the day, I had paid quite a lot for this holiday and had certain expectations. The hotel also provides a day pass scheme for visitors to come and use the amenities. Because of this, there were days when hotel guests couldn’t find loungers around the pool and were forced to sit further away which I found quite unfair.

On the whole, I think we visited the hotel at the wrong time. August was, naturally, very busy and I feel the serving staff struggled to cope with the sheer amount of people. I can’t fault the hotel’s facilities, the rooms are spotless and guest services are very prompt with any issues you’re having. It’s just a shame there were too many negatives for me to give this hotel a better score.

We stayed on an ‘all-inclusive’ basis in Jan 2025 in a platinum room. There are two blocks of rooms - we were allocated a room in block 2 which was much in need of a renovation - marked wallpaper, scratched furniture, scratched flooring, and was dirty. We were shown an alternate room, much in the same state, so chose not to move. We were then offered an upgraded room in what appears to be the seemingly renovated ‘Block 1’ which was in a much better condition. Block 2 needs renovating and is not representative of 5* - 3* at best. The corridors in both Blocks had scratched wood along the carpet edges, stained carpets, and scratched lifts. Unnecessarily restrictive ‘all-inclusive’ menus both for alcohol and food is embarrassing - restricted entry times to beach side restaurant, cheap buffet-style food with very limited choice offered to all-inclusive guests made us feel second class and is frankly ridiculous. In addition, we’re not able to have spirit based alcoholic drinks in any restaurant unless paid, so told to go to a nearby bar by restaurant staff and bring this to our table! The 30% reduction on the massively inflated prices for all-incl. guests of other restaurants eg steak restaurant makes it uninviting and not worth the expenditure. The main buffet had the same food in the same positions for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with the small addition of two cooked meat stands! Appalling for a 5* resort with an iconic name as Hard Rock! The all-inclusive aspects are woeful. The chipped crockery and table placements were sticky and dirty too. The pool bar in the main pool is dropping to bits with blown spot lights, flaking bar top and paint. Rusty DJ box in the pool and volley ball net that has seen better days!! Avoid!

This is not a 5* hotel by any means, we have enjoyed our stay however….
We first came last September and it was amassing, decided to book up and from day one we wished we had booked elsewhere! The room was very nice we had sea-view, however we asked for a double bed and two single beds spaced apart ,three times during our stay our electric went of in the night and then would turn on and the tv would blast at full volume waking us both up, twice the phone rang in our bathroom and woke us up, with nobody on the other end, the hydro bath was constantly spitting out black dirt even after the 2 times we asked for it to be cleaned, I had to go to reception about 5 times during our stay with complaints and we only got offered 20% of in the over priced spa and a slice of cake sent to the room
The room does not get cleaned as a five star should, they make the bed, wipe the sink, and empty the bin, would have had the same sheets for 10 days if we didn’t say anything, the poolside bars waiting time is joke, telling us to go back to our sunbeds and then not coming to take our order for 35mins and then 30mins for the drink to arrive, the drinks we had to buy, I’m all for giving tips! But never came with any change, the breakfast is nice, but towards the end of our stay, it was like they cooked everything for 5-10mins less, it’s very very basic, for the price and the location, your better of going n costs adeje , we will not be booking this hotel again, we are hard rock fans , we love the smell in lobby and hallways so much we bought some, but the novelty has really worn of this time, staff are not as helpful this time round, there is not enough staff, and overall I’m not happy with my stay this time round, it’s went downhill massively since we first came

7 days half board, considering the price we paid we didn't expect to have to pay for water and coffee again at the evening buffet. Great variety all week, product of satisfactory quality. No microwave available while the dishes of a buffet cool very quickly. Breakfast really great.
We were disappointed that this "rock" hotel is mainly frequented by families with small children, hence a lot of bustle at the buffet as well as at the pools.
The "adult only" pool (the + small one) is stormed in the morning. A Pinacolada (80% looted ice) + a glass of rosé cost 18€. Mistaken for "cash cows" we never ordered anything again. The water in the pools is not sufficiently heated to bathe pleasantly. The music atmosphere of the DJs is very techno, very Ibiza, so we skipped the rooftop and the big pool downstairs.
At the check, you are put a magnetic bracelet that serves as key and / or payment, there are several color coding of the bracelet, I think the waiters know who can pay with it. I took mine off after three days even though it can get wet, it was not pleasant to wear and frankly you twist your wrist to open your room. The "gold" room we had is spacious with "open" bathroom, separate shower and toilet and sea view. The almost daily cleaning, but the same sheets left several days. Small balcony with separation from the unintimate neighbor.
Parking costs €12/day, no room in the street, but supermarket and restaurants, which allows to escape the financial truncheon of the hotel.
Musicians, we would have liked to rent a guitar in the room as they advertise it, it was not available. The first day the TV was not working, the technician came quickly. It is not a smart TV with access to famous movie platforms, but you can buy their movies (€8) or watch English, German or Italian channels.
All employees are helpful and smiling...and tattooed
Live singers every night, you can sit without consuming.
In summary Beautiful buildings and infrastructure where the least thing is charged very expensive.

From 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., hotel staff throw glass bottles into the container that is right in front of the hotel balconies. It's loud and annoying.
The garbage collectors come at 3 a.m. and empty the containers, which is in the middle of the night. It's loud and you can't sleep peacefully for ONE night.
There is no soap at the sinks in the room, but every day the shower gel that we put next to the sink from the shower is diligently taken back to the shower by room service. But soap? No sign of it.
The pool towels are frayed and full of holes. There is no pool that you can swim in. Because with a water depth of 1.5 m and when every pool has a "bar" where some guests sit in the water all day and pour "all-inclusive drinks" down their throats, I don't want to swim. The "adult pool" is right on the walkway where all the families stroll and is "entertained" with music all day. Peace and quiet? None of them. It is understandable that the "Bali loungers" (particularly wide, with thick mattresses) are not free for this clientele, but charging 80 euros PER day for them is outrageous.

The hotel has its own "scent", but it is sprayed everywhere in an extremely penetrating way and then it is no longer a smell, but just a stench. The music is not centrally controlled, so that different songs play at the children's pool, the adult pool, the fun pool and in the entrance area at the same time (the speakers are sometimes a few meters apart), which results in a cacophony of different rock songs.

The "cocktails" on the rooftop bar are not mixed with original ingredients, but taste like cheap swill. That may be enough for "all-inclusive tourists", but not for guests who pay regularly for the service.

It was also a shame that we were not informed at check-in that this hotel only serves guests with "prepayment". You have to top up your hotel account with €50 per day and guest and when we wanted to enjoy the sunset on the much-vaunted “rooftop bar” on the first evening, we weren’t given any drinks at first because, assuming that we were cashless in the hotel (you have this wristband with an RFID chip), we had everything in the safe. Unfortunately, in the 16-story building with around 20 rooms per floor, only ONE elevator to the roof worked (and that was during our entire vacation). By the time we were “up there” again, the sun had set.

We visited the hard rock hotel Tenerife.
August 2024 on an all inclusive 7 day stay.
Went as a family of 4, 2 adults & 2 children aged 6 and 4.
We had a family room which was lovely and clean every day of our stay.
The bathroom was fantastic with modern boutique design.
After arriving to the hotel at around 11pm we were delivered food to our room just after checking in.
We had a choice of having breakfast inside or outside at the sessions buffet.
Cava drink available as walking into breakfast.
Plenty food available which is always fresh.
Kids loved having donuts and churros for breakfast (seen as though they were on holiday)
All types of milk available to have for cereal if needed.
We spent most of our time around the splash pool, would defiantly recommend downloading the hard rock app as this gives you all menu options for every pool bar to restaurant. Big shout out to Mary, Conrad and staff at the pool bar, they were great.
Booked the sports bar for evening meal, picked a starter of loaded nachos, gosh these were unreal, had chunks of steak all over top.
Little girl was very tired so the fantastic waiter Ilan said he would box it up so we could take to our room. Even gave us all desserts too.
Ilan also recommended we try Le Petit Chef which we later booked for an evening later in our holiday.
Le Petit Chef was not included in our all inclusive stay which we didn’t mind as we were paying for the experience for the kids.
Would definitely recommend this if you have children.
We ate at the Steak restaurant which was lovely, again not included in all inclusive but we received 30% discount. Would recommend.
Also for Japanese restaurant, which I thought wasn’t at the standard I would have expected.
Kids really enjoyed going to Roxity kids club, meeting great friends and the staff were fantastic with them.
Me and my wife spent a day at the Edan adult pool. Great and a good vibe around here, I would say it was difficult to read a book though as music was very loud expesh when sax came on.
The Lagoon pool was salt water, bigger pool which kids could be in. They also did pool aerobics down here and was a nice place to be.
Evening entertainment was really good in the lobby.
We went to the roof top bar a couple of nights this isn’t included in all inclusive, which was a shame.
All staff at the hotel are very pleasant and very helpful.
Will definitely be returning in the near future.

They have many pools, even one for adults only with DJs and entertainment. Top quality and varied food. The waiters are very friendly to the customers, the bellboys and the receptionists are very detailed and professional (highlight Sahy from the lower pool for his professionalism). They have a spa, a park for children to play and they even offer you to stay the afternoon of check-out and use some complimentary showers before returning home. Everything is well signposted and with excellent decoration from the celebrities who have passed through there. At night there is live music until 12, otherwise you can rest as the rooms are insulated. They have an ice machine, a special refrigerator for glass bottles, elevators to all the upper floors and the restaurant hours are very good for both dinner and breakfast.
