The H10 Atlantic Sunset hotel offers a range of experiences, where the amenities such as various pools and the Privilege service are often highlighted positively by travelers. Guests appreciate the hotel's ideal location for a tranquil getaway, although some find it too secluded. The rooms earn praise for their cleanliness and modern touches, yet disturbances from noise can detract from the peacefulness. While the service receives commendations for staff attentiveness, opinions on value for money and the atmosphere are mixed, with extra costs and inconsistent ambiance noted by guests.

Hotel's Favourite

We stayed at the hotel from 2nd - 13th July 2023 and our stay was perfect! From the second we arrived and a member of the team helped us with our bags to the best wishes as we left, the hotel was welcoming and professional, and the staff were some of the loveliest people we'd ever met. But not to jump ahead...

We began communicating with the hotel in April 2023. The trip was our much belated honeymoon and we decided to renew our wedding vows. From the minute we started speaking to Noemi Riggi in Guest Relations, it was clear that she understood how much everything meant to us and no detail was beyond her notice. She literally could not have done more before or during our holiday to make it more special.

Our room (3418) was one of the Privilege Suites located in the third of the three residential buildings. It was a corner room located on the fourth floor, left hand side of the building as you look towards the sea. It had a corner wrap-around balcony with amazing views of the sea and mountains - it's the opposite version of the one photographed on the website. We could open our windows day and night and hear the waves - it was perfect. The room was spacious, exceptionally clean and well-maintained, with plenty of storage space and hangers! On arrival it was beautifully decorated by Noemi with balloons and rose petals, and we had a bottle of champagne to start our 10 day celebration.

We ate in all the restaurants, with the exception of Route 66 and again... cannot emphasise enough how welcoming and friendly the team (under the watchful eye of Cristo) were. Whilst I understand people's views that the menus could vary on a week 1 and week 2 basis to add more variety during longer stays, we thoroughly enjoyed the food. It was well-prepared and presented beautifully. My husband took great pleasure in sampling the daily specials created by Manuel at The View restaurant and we also went back repeatedly to Stromboli. I can definitely recommend "Central Market" for lunch, amazing salad and dessert bars - Banessa took great care of us!

As I mentioned we renewed our Wedding Vows at the hotel during our stay. Noemi had already recommended a private dinner and moonlit swim (Infinity Package) at the rooftop infinity pool as part of the celebrations, however she then arranged for the ceremony to be there also. The sunbeds were cleared away and an aisle was created with tealights and rose petals. From the attached picture you can see the archway decorated with flowers. The whole ceremony officiated by Andreas Fischer and we had the hotel photographers taking informal photos, whilst Noemi kindly videoed it. The team were so discreet we were able to focus just on the ceremony and both the photos and videos were FANTASTIC!

Our evening meal, watching the sun go down over the Atlantic, was amazing, and we were taken special care of by Yanira and Victor who we then saw regularly after that, and who always greeted us with a warm smile and even a hug on occasion!! :-)

OK so back to the review... Whilst we had access to the Privilege Lounge which we used before dinner, we would go up to the lobby bar after dinner. The live music, especially the Elton John Tribute night, was excellent. Khalid, Lucian and the rest of the bar team always made us feel very welcome and special... even going so far as to making us an "off-menu" cocktail that we particularly liked... "After Eights"!

The layout of the hotel is very clever and whilst the hotel was full, we did not experience any noise from the other guests, the family pools or the nearby Hard Rock Hotel until the very last night... and I'm guessing this was mainly down to the school holidays and therefore, more entertainment noise and younger guests.

And if you get a chance, do go to the spa! It was heaven!!

If you are looking for a relaxing, peaceful holiday where you are made to feel special every day, we cannot recommend H10 Sunset Atlantic, out of school holidays, enough and we cannot WAIT to go back.

Just a few additional "shout-outs" to the H10 team who literally could not have done more to make our holiday special, Cristo's team - Rayco, Diego, Jony, Santiago, Nestor, Jude, Abdullah and Alessandra to name but a few.

My partner and I spent the first week of January here to celebrate my birthday!

Upon arrival the reception team were very welcoming and we were given a glass of cava!

Our room was 1306 with a side view of the sea, we had a ‘standard’ room but it was beautiful, very spacious with a lounge area plus bedroom and bathroom, we also had a large balcony with chairs outside. The decor is lovely, bed is very comfortable and a large size so plenty of room!
It was equipped with complimentary Nescafé coffee/teas/complimentary water daily

The hotel grounds itself are beautiful, the bar area by reception is great to lounge and have a drink.

There are 3 pools, unfortunately all freezing cold water! They could do with being heated even just a fraction, otherwise lovely and clean. The sun loungers are very clean and plenty so no need to ‘reserve’ early morning.

We paid €30 for the two of us to use the spa pool on a cold and cloudy day, which we could use for an hour and a half, it was again lovely and clean and nice decor and good spa facilities. It was lovely and hot in there and a great way to relax in the warm!

The food & drink: we stayed half board and wish we stayed all inclusive! The breakfast and dinner was DELICIOUS, so much variety, fresh and healthy food options, I’ve eaten my body weight in food every single day! And the drinks/coacktails wow They are veryyy generous with the alcohol! The hotel must go through bottles like hot cakes as they give very generous servings!

Location: this is the only problem, the hotel is quite restricted on location, the nearest supermarket is about a 20 minute walk up and down hills and stairs, so carrying water back is not easy! Please can I make a suggestion to the hotel (especially for your half board guests) to supply large bottles of water to at least buy from the hotel or to have a small convenience shop within the hotel to buy drinks/snacks for the rooms.

There aren’t any beaches within walking distance and taxis cost around €15 to the nearest beaches or to the water parks

The hotel is perfect if you want to be by the pool all week, however not so great location if you like your activities! The hotel could do with a games room or pool table especially
for adult guests, the evening entertainment wasn’t great and so we walked to the nearest pub about 20 minutes away to play pool

Overall, beautiful hotel, great food, beautiful rooms and grounds and the staff were all fab!!!

The staff at the check in were very polite and it was very stress free. Complimentary cava as we completed the check in process. We stayed in a standard room with partial sea view. (Room 1320) The room was absolutely beautiful. It was spacious with a very comfortable super king sized bed. The balcony was very spacious with comfortable seats overlooking the pool and sea. Great views. We were provided with bathrobes and slippers and an espresso coffee machine. Every day we received complimentary bottles of water.
The resort is a bit out of the way, with steep walks to shops etc. There is a bus stop directly outside the hotel to Los Cristianos. The bus does not go to Los Gigantes. To get to Los Gigantes either catch the 471 to Armintimes then the 473 or walk to Callao Salvalje and catch the bus from there. Fortunately there is a courtesy bus to Los Americas which goes twice a day. You need to book this on the big screen by the restaurant. We enjoyed catching the bus to Los Americas then walking back along the promenade then walking through the National Park at La Caleta. Bring sturdy shoes to do this walk at the paths are loose gravel in places and quite steep. There are quite a few hippies living in tents in the park. Another nice place along this walk is Pepe Y Lola’s bar in El Puertito.
We were not impressed by the restaurant in the hotel! There is a ridiculous queuing system to get in with 2 people sitting at a desk taking information about your room number then someone takes you to your table! Very unnecessary! Especially as there are not enough staff in the restaurant. Everyone seemed stressed! Dishes were often still left uncollected at the table when returning with your next course. This is very unusual for a buffet restaurant. At other hotels we barely put the cutlery down before the table is tidied. But the most disappointing thing was the food. It was not hot enough! After 5 days of tolerating tepid food ( and leaving good food because it was just not hot enough) I complained. The chef was very apologetic but still no improvement! Also because of a lack of staff the food trays were sometimes empty because the staff had not had time to refill the containers. I would rate the food as 3 stars only...apart from the deserts which were absolutely delicious! The breakfast was much better with omelette station and nice bacon and sausages but still not 5 stars!

Dear carolr987, First of all, we would like to thank you for your review. We are happy to see that you have enjoyed your stay but as the food is one of our best strengths, we have a bad feeling reading the entire review. In the first place, we would like to say that welcoming you at the restaurant door is totally necessary and a common procedure in 5-star hotels and fine-dining restaurants. If we don't do that, we have to bother our guests asking for the room number at the table, our guests can find tables not ready to seat and you can see the restaurant with many guests walking around looking for a table. This is an image that we do not want to see at our hotel and the reason why we have 3 employees for this, at the main restaurant and a la carte restaurant. In second place, we would like to share that we prepare the food at the moment. For this reason, it is possible to see one tray (not all of them) ready to be filled by the chefs. Normally, we know the demand of each tray and we cook the just in time. With this, we can guarantee that the food is fresh and you can eat it hot and recently made, not preheated in a oven during the dinner time. Lastly, we would like to share that we have 4 a la carte restaurants that our guests can enjoy in case that they prefer a more classic a la carte dinner. We truly believe in continuous improvements and we take your comments into consideration. We would like to welcome you again at H10 Atlantic Sunset. Best regards, Iago Cela Subdirector

Beautiful hotel, immaculate throughout. Staff very friendly and helpful. Wonderful check in service with drinks. Food is very nice and good quality, steaks, prawns etc where always available. Drinks are branded on the all-inclusive option (not the cheap local brands which you sometimes are given) so this was nice, also nice glasses were given for drinks even at poolside not horrible plastic type tumblers. The gym is adequate for a few days, and the indoor spa is beautiful with a steam room, sauna, jacuzzi and fire and ice pools. This was however not included and costs 30 euros per couple to use per visit. The infinity pool on the roof is beautiful and heated but again not included you need to upgrade to privilege. The room was beautiful with a huge bed with white linen, lounge area, big balcony overlooking the sea, a waterfall shower and his and her basins. Lots of toiletries and hairdryer provided as you would expect including robes and slippers. Mini bar was refilled every two days and there was an excellent selection of drinks and snacks again all included. Mikes coffee house is super for a great coffee and cake late afternoon and again all included in the price. There were two other restaurants on site as well as the main buffet, but they were already full when we arrived which was disappointing but can’t be helped. Pools are beautiful and immaculately clean as are the grounds. The only negative would be the pool bar at times could do with a few more servers as getting a drink could take a while if it was busy and people ordering cocktails which take time to make! The hotel is secluded and not much around it so if you are looking for a party place this isn’t it, but if you are looking for a few days of relaxation this place it perfect. There is a lovely bar just at the bottom of the hill (5 minutes’ walk outside the hotel) where you can sit on the cushions on the rocks with a drink and watch the sunset which is beautiful. The roof bar at the Hard Rock hotel (10-minute walk) is also definitely worth a visit specially in the evening, great music and views. I would definitely recommend this hotel and use the H10 brand again. There was a lovely looking children's pool and kids club onsite. We travelled as two adults without children for 5 nights middle of January 2020 and paid £600 per person which I think was reasonable for what we received. Hope this review is helpful.

We stayed at the hotel during February half term. When we arrived we were impressed with how beautiful and new the hotel was. Rooms are gorgeous with lovely bathrooms and comfy beds.
Overall the food was very good. We are not massive fans of buffets usually but found this one to be nice with plenty of choices and lots of freshly cooked dishes and salads. It was my partners birthday so the hotel booked for us go to the Japanese restaurant. This was absolutely excellent. The food was delicious and a great experience. It was a highlight for my son and far better than any I have been to even in London. As others have said the evening entertainment was dull and could do with livening up a bit.

We used the spa a couple of times and the pools were lovely. I must mention Marta in the spa who gave us the best massage I have experienced. A few improvements for the spa would be the receptionist who seemed to be her on a mobile phone every time I went passed. Also to have some shampoo, shower jel and body lotion in the changing areas.

On the Sunday morning the hotel was hit with a massive sand storm which caused considerable damage to the hotel and island. We woke up to crashing and flying sun loungers and sand. I felt communication was poor there was no warning or advice given to guests as what to do, where to go or anything. The breakfast line was out the door with guest standing in the storm. I really felt that management should have sat guest down at the down stairs lobby table areas where they could have started to eat and be safe. They also maybe should have said to guests that they had a half hour slot for breakfast so that everyone could get in under these difficult circumstances. The electronic screens which you could book restaurants and activities never updated to reflect the current situation and I think it’s disappointing that communication wasn’t updated and it even showed that activities were taking place when clearly they could not be.
Having said that the staff were amazing they worked so hard to serve everyone, stay cheery and clean. The cleaning team need a special mention as the floors were covered in sand and they did not stop clearing it away.
Our flights with easy jet were cancelled and we ended up having to stay at the hotel longer. The reception staff were so helpful and gave us a reasonable rate not taking advantage of the situation. They constantly asked if we were okay when they saw us as we were not sure when we could get back home.

Overall this is a beautiful hotel where you go to chill out. I hope it’s now looking beautiful again and I would like to thank everyone for looking after us so well in difficult situation. We will certainly return next time we need to relax.

We returned a week ago having spent a week at the H10 Atlantic Sunset in a basic room on half board. This hotel was being constructed when we visited the Hard Rock Hotel last year and we were very pleased with our choice this year. Our concerns were raised because of some adverse comments on Trip Advisor and so we are passing on our experience in the hope of alleviating any concerns that visitors may have. We found the rooms to be comfortable and spacious with large beds and equipped with a Nespesso coffee machine and kettle. The room overlooked the Hard Rock Hotel but on a much higher level and we didn't find the music (which ended at 5pm) too intrusive.
All of the staff were extremely kind and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed the meals in the buffet restaurant. We booked the free bus to Playa de las Americas on the online display by the restaurant and returned on a service bus which stopped near to the hotel. Another day we took the free bus to the nearby new Roses shopping centre and returned via Calloa Salvaje. A trip by taxi (return 26 euros) to La Caleta by taxi was very enjoyable with a fish lunch overlooking the sea. If you would like to explore the island there are excellent trips that pick you up at the hotel door. Altogether a very enjoyable, good value break in the sun.

I, my husband and friends are staying at this hotel currently. I am really saddened by some of the scathing things that are being said on the reviews here. I am fortunate to travel a lot and stay in nice hotels. I think the persons writing are inhabitants of a different universe. This is a gorgeous hotel. It’s immaculately clean. I have not seen a single grumpy member of staff, from cleaners to managers, everyone smiles and is keen to help. The pool we are using is the adults infinity pool and it’s heated and warm. On arrival we were advised that there were some problems with heating the main pool as it was so windy, the water was being blown out. (we saw this in action). My husband who is in real estate, has commented on the high quality finish of the build here. Comfortable beds, Nespresso coffee machines, kettles, water, coffee capsules, tea bags are all supplied and restocked in the rooms every day. Also, there’s WiFi which certainly has reached every part of our accommodation and the pools. TV offer on big flat screen is a full BBC1 through to Channel 5 and Sky news.

Buffet style catering can always be hit and miss in these sort of hotels I think. We have found that the hotel has got the breakfast offering right, I would give the evening buffet less praise, but our party has managed to find a good meal from the offering every night so far. Staff in the restaurant work hard and are smiley and cheerful. I do feel that pool service for drinks would be an improvement. To those considering visiting this hotel I would say, it’s great.

After reading some recent reviews we were a little concerned before we arrived, however we shouldn’t have been, now I suspect some of the bad reviews are posted by staff in competing hotels.
The concierge collected our bags from the taxi and we were greeted with a glass of cava whilst we waited less than 5 minutes to be checked in.
Aimad was very friendly and efficient checking us in and remembered us from a stay at the H10 Conquistador 3 years earlier. As we arrived at 12:30pm our room wasn’t ready so went for lunch at the pool bar, the staff were fabulous and were quick at serving and delivering our food which was hot and tasty. We had lunch there everyday but one and on every occasion it was good.
Our room was modern, spacious and clean as you would expect from a 5 star hotel that is 6 months old. The free mini bar was a nice touch. There were approx 8 English TV channels.
We enjoyed every meal in the buffet restaurant, the breakfast was amazing, the coffee is much better out of the Nespresso machine than the coffee served at your table, you might have to wait 2 minutes in the Nespresso queue but it’s worth it. Lunch and dinner offer fabulous food and we walked straight in to the restaurant on every night but one when we queued for 10 minutes. The drink servers are efficient and friendly but are a little overworked covering too many tables, we were served within 5 minutes on every occasion but one when we waited 15 minutes, which was the same night we queued for 10 minutes to get in. We ate at the Italian which we enjoyed.
We experienced fantastic service throughout the hotel and there are a few staff that deserve a particular thanks for excellent service. At the pool bar Norberto, Dana, Jessica, Maria and Taybi. In the restaurant Melania Herrera and Carina. At reception Aimad and Michelle.
There are a few areas that could be improved in our opinion, a daytime entertainment program, more tables at the pool bar in the area in front of the stage for guests wishing to sit in the sun whilst eating, ambient music during the day by the pool and also at La Dome bar and in the Teatro after the evening entertainment.
We are regular guests at the H10 Las Palmeras and are torn as to which is best. We prefer the H10 Atlantic Sunset for its larger more comfortable sun beds that are not crammed in, the food is of higher quality and the rooms are larger and more modern. We prefer the H10 Las Palmeras for its central location, it’s daytime entertainment program and it’s pool bar and tables in the sun.
We didn’t upgrade to the privilege club and have no regrets.
Overall we had a great relaxing holiday and will definitely return.

Visited this lovely hotel with a group of singles .The hotel is really big and spread out with beautiful rooms .There is absolutely no problems with sun beds and the food was good and plentiful.
The only thing I would suggest to guests booking is don’t waste your money on privilege rooms as they are identical to all the rooms in the hotel ( can’t comment on the suites they may be better )
The privilege lounge is similar to an airport lounge and you have to have drinks in there ( which are complimentary ) and can’t take them out to the pool as they are served in glass .The privilege infinity pool on the 6th floor serves drinks in plastic glasses but you have to pay for these which felt like a con . Also the cooking smells are very strong in afternoons up on the 6th floor .The infinity pool at the bottom( adult only ) is every bit as nice and the extra cost is not worth it .If you dare to take a drink by the bottom pool the lifeguards will quickly come and tell you off. Top tip get a plastic glass and hang on to it and get drink from the privilege lounge which you then can have by the pool !
The area round the hotel would not be good for anyone with mobility issues and is quite steep . There are very few shops but a couple of snack bars by the sea at bottom of hill ( some are better than others )
It is quite a way from the other resorts ( not walkable ) .i believe there is a courtesy bus and local buses .
The snack bar is good with a limited menu , we had quite amusing times as the menu said served with fries and coleslaw and they hadn’t a clue when we asked for the coleslaw mentioned so after a couple of days we gave up !

New 2019 hotel, spacious rooms, double wash hand basins, with seating area, and balcony. East facing rooms (even numbers, more expensive) have sunshine on balcony virtually all day, west facing rooms only have sun for 2 hours from 5 pm.

Check-in can be tedious if there are lots of people arriving at the same time.

Lots of public areas. Nice grounds and swimming pools. Privilege club members have own dining area, and rooftop infinity pool.

Buffet restaurant – very large selection at breakfast buffet, including 6 different sausages! Dinner buffet a bit more mundane – range and quality not quite to standard of say Roca Nivaria, or Sheraton. But still very good. Seafood night is Saturday. Specialty restaurants – payable (40% discount) if you are on HB. Sakura serves Tepanyaki – not suitable if you don’t like your meat rare! (You don’t have a choice) You have to book using the ONE screen terminal for whole hotel!

Entertainment – small stage, with terrible sound system. The performers have to put up with a muffled and boomy sound system, which really makes the whole experience awful for guests and the performers themselves.

The hotel is sprawled over a long site, with a perimeter fence right down almost to the beach. However there is only 1 entrance, at reception, which is at the opposite end of the beach, which makes it quite a walk along an incline from the beach. Would be good if there was a controlled entry/exit gate at the beach end.

Nice hotel overall.

Reading from the website, it says that a buffet dinner can be exchanged for an a la carte dinner every other night. If you are half board you get 30% discount on the food prices. As a Privilege guest you can also use the Privilege restaurant for dinner and also a la carte breakfast without any charges ( other than for drinks unless all inclusive). Download the H10 app for lots of information, sample menus etc.
