Just here for one day and night on the way to Tangier. Do be aware that the office is closed for 3 hours right in the middle of the day, as is traditional. They waited a little bit for me since I let them know when I was going to be there, Lots of great places to eat nearby. Bed...

A great inexpensive albeit slightly small room in an amazing position moments from the action. No air con in our room (2) so would be warm in the height of summer. Our second visit and we will be back.

We stayed as a couple mid September in No 2. our family lives in Tarifa and we just wanted a handy central place to stay. The room is on the ground floor and against the road but the double glazing keeps out all noise. The room was cleaned regularly and even the bed made. with a washing area in the...

I have stayed 3 nights for a kite surfing course up the beach. The hotel is located in the middle of the old city, but easily reachable from the parking lot at the city hall, just north of the city walls. The location is very good and quiet enough! The Estrella is a simple hotel, but clean, friendly and well...

My husband and I were lucky enough to have a seasoned Tarifa tourist organise our honeymoon for us. Neither of us had visited Tarifa and had no idea what to expect. Centrally located, La Estrella was the perfect base from which to explore. It is impossible to get lost, shops, restaurant and the beach are all within a short walking...

Although the hotel is closed from 2pm to 6pm, it was worth the wait. We stayed at La Estrella de Tarifa in July 2014. we were located on the top floor- up 5 flights of stairs. Our room had 360 view of the town. The room was tastefully decorated with blues, whites and reds. We had a kitchenette, tv, wifi,...

We traveled for in Spain, in Granada, Malaga and Tarifa. At Estrella de Tarifa has sickened the great smells of mold and filth. It was the most expensive and the poorest hotel we stayed at. There wasn't the fresh fruit provided. The room was very small and in the bathroom the sink was so high that I couldn't wash. The...

This hotel is awesome. It has no parking possibilities attached, which is the only disadvantage. The place itself is led by really nice and helpful people. It is situated directly in Tarifa centre (old town), just a foodstep away from shops and restaurants. The rooms are small, but very charming, very clean and nicely decorated. Fresh fruits are served in...

A very quirky hostal, different to a hostel. The ladies are renovating a very old house in the old town. There are twists and turns on the way to many and individual rooms. We had a room that had a private bathroom. It was lovely, small but lovely.Tthe bathroom was extremely small, even turn sideways while sitting on the toilet,...

“The penthouse is a must see room - very nice!”
  • The bed in the penthouse
  • Top of the city: desk to work and loungers to relax.
  • The sofas and the view to the sea side (no seaview!)

“With the winding staircase, I would not recommend the hotel to people with moderate to severe mobility issues; ask for a room on the ground floor as there is no elevator. If mobility is not an issue, I would recommend a room on a higher level. Ours was room 3 and was very comfortable.”
