Very peaceful old-style hotel in Carmona, just a couple blocks from the main town square. The bulding itself dates back to the 1500s and has a large courtyard and several library-style meeting rooms. Our room was small, but for the price well worth it. One of the hotel's standout qualities is the helpfulness and friendliness of its staff, from the...

We stayed 5 nights and can't say enough about the kindness and service of the staff. Housed in a palacio dating from the 16th century, it shows its age here and there, but overall a lovely space. Wonderful Argentine chef. Don't miss having dinner there!

We loved our stay at the Carmona palace. An intimate hotel, it dates back hundreds of years, with the soul and character to match. If you're looking for spotless perfection this isn't the place for you. If you'd enjoy living amongst libraries of old manuscripts, etchings over 200 years old and a bit of peeling paint, you've found a home....

We stayed here for one night only. The hotel is quite expensive plus the breakfast is 15 euros and the restaurant is pretty expensive. The parking was full and due to narrow streets hotel is difficult to find if you come by car. So we left the car in some random street. However, it's an authentic and unique hotel with...

The online marketing lured us in and we thought that we were going to a 5 star luxury hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel is past its sell by date and is in need of refurbishment. Shabby chic is not the right term. Shabby but not chic! The staff were friendly but they were mostly on gap years from Eastern Europe or...

This place is fascinating as an hotel. Really not sure what it wants to be. As a charming boutique stop it misses because of its recent lack on investment so you have to accept dated rooms, lack of amenities and faded grandeur. The restaurant has a fantastic setting and looks 5*. It was adequate but falls short of that lofty...

Comfortable well equipped room very pleasant staff good location. Found breakfast very expensive as only have coffee and toast. Didn't have evening meal but menu interesting and prices more reasonable. Beware of price of gin and tonics !

A palace filled with antiques, worth of Casa Vogue Italia shooting. This magazine doesn't feature sparkling newly tiled floors, but interiors with history. The tub might not be working perfectly, the paint on the walls is not so fresh, but you have fireplaces, a library full of art books, a piano, statues, paintings. The ground floor is just vast salons...

Located in the ancient centre of Carmona this palace erected in 1561 provides a faded reminder of the past. The palace (a former house of a wealthy family) is now a hotel and has been for some time. Rooms set around the central court yard, provide the public rooms, are tastefully decorated and remind you of days gone by. Breakfast...

All 3 of us loved the faded charm of this lovely building, built in the 1500s and thoroughly enjoyed out stay. We received a very warm welcome from Manuel (yes, he is from Barcelona!) as we stepped from our car - he parked the car and took all our bags to the room. Later, Manuel was relived by night duty...
