A palace filled with antiques, worth of Casa Vogue Italia shooting. This magazine doesn't feature sparkling newly tiled floors, but interiors with history. The tub might not be working perfectly, the paint on the walls is not so fresh, but you have fireplaces, a library full of art books, a piano, statues, paintings. The ground floor is just vast salons... More

Located in the ancient centre of Carmona this palace erected in 1561 provides a faded reminder of the past. The palace (a former house of a wealthy family) is now a hotel and has been for some time. Rooms set around the central court yard, provide the public rooms, are tastefully decorated and remind you of days gone by. Breakfast... More

All 3 of us loved the faded charm of this lovely building, built in the 1500s and thoroughly enjoyed out stay. We received a very warm welcome from Manuel (yes, he is from Barcelona!) as we stepped from our car - he parked the car and took all our bags to the room. Later, Manuel was relived by night duty... Beautiful place. Food was ok. The waiter was straight out of Fawlty Towers. Quite expensive. Vegetarian risotto arrived with prawns on the top. Breaded chicken dish was a bit Macdonalds. Spaghetti vongele was nice but there could have been a bit more on the plate as it was a main

I've waited a while before reviewing this hotel because I needed time to consider. We had booked a "junior suite" (room 3), which was in fact a very large bedroom with adjoining barthroom, but no seperate living area. Worse the room was damp, musty and with very little natural light. We could have put up with it for a night... More

Back here once again, this time bringing friends who were equally enchanted. Under the superb, friendly supervision of Willem this beautiful old palace is a haven in a lovely old town. Last here in September when it was relatively cool, walking in to its shady courtyard from the July sun was superb. The rooms are very comfortable and every one... More

Recently stayed for a week at this fabulous old casa. Disney it ain't and if that is how you like your palaces you may need to adjust your thinking (had some great times.at Disney too) Staff were terrific, Willem and Stein could not have been any more attentive and considerate throughout our visit and I very much hope to see... The palace has such character and charm. It does not feel like a hotel at all - rather you stay in indivudual rooms in a real palace, with libraries and sitting rooms separating your room from the other parts of the house. There are inner courtyards full of plants, wonderful period artwork all throughout the palace, and a fantastically beautiful... More

This is the worst hotel We have ever stayed in, 5* it is Not. We booked this room back in February and booked a Classic double with the choice of a large double or two singles. We asked for a large double, but when we arrived were told as we were northern European the Spanish beds would be to short... More

I expected a well kept charming boutique hotel, but found a run down building that has not been maintained. The manager uses the excuse that the building is old and he cannot stay on top of the maintenance. There are many similar old buildings in Spain that are very well kept. In addition, they tried to charge twice the price... More
