Stayed here to use as a base to explore surrounding towns and Antequera. Hotel rooms large, hotel staff very friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast one of the best ones I have seen in any other 4 star hotel I have been in Spain. We had tea at the cafetiera and the cakes are to die for delicious.. My...

The good, the bad and the average. Good - Wifi, outside pool and terrace, bedroom, cleanliness, reception staff, housekeeping, buffet staff Bad - Some of the service at the bar, inside pool only opened at 6pm, no entertainment, no tea/coffee in room, air con still set on winter (hot) when temp was 75 - 80 degrees. Constant loop of music...

Really comfortable hotel / spacious and perfect for families. Good location for visiting either El Torcal de Antequera or El Caminito Del Rey (we did both). Buffet dinner / targeting mainly larger tour groups but very decent with large variety of dishes and complimentary alcoholic drinks. The nightclub downstairs ran karaoke which was fun for the kids also. Spa had...

Ignore other reviews and don't be put off. It was great. Our room was lovely. Very spacious and a big balcony overlooking the pool area. Very clean. Staff were great. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant staff were lovely. Cleaners always greeted us. Everyone very nice. As regards odours in the rooms, the only odours we smelt were in the...

Very disappointed with this hotel. My room was gloomy and needed brightening up, and the cleaning was not adequately done. The shower was challenging, flooding the bathroom the first night, and a tacky shower curtain which seemed to wrap itself around me when trying to wash. Hard to get help from the front desk, which seemed to be deserted most...

I stayed in the Hotel Antequera for seven nights; the tourist company I had travelled with used it as a base. I had a fairly comfortable room, but I would hesitate to rank this hotel as 'four star'. The room was not ready when we arrived at about midday, the carpet was stained in one spot, and the light level...

A pretty poor hotel, given its advertising hype. The hotel is pretty tired. It has some good facilities, indoor pool, spa, gym, restaurant, outdoor pool but, most not available during sensible hours, e.g. the indoor pool and spa is not available until 6pm, if you're lucky. Rooms a adequate, no more than that. It is a dark and dingy place,...

We were originally booked at Hotel El Convento but our reservation was not honored. They sent us to Hotel Antequera where we were shown 2 dreadful, small, unmade up rooms even including cribs. Of course we protested strongly and finally the manager gave us an upgrade. Reception desk is disorganized, to say the least. Tapas, breakfast OK. Next time we...

On the way to Portugal for a Sporting event, overnighted at this 4star hotel! The lounge.cafeteria/bar was excellent with food served all day! Staff were efficient but not exactly friendly! However my room was a big disappointment! There was a very nasty odour in the room! I had to sleep with the window open! The bed was extremely uncomfortable with the...

Large hotel but well spread out so seems very spacious. Very good pool and terraced area leading from hotel lounge. Rooms are quite large, with decent sized shower and bath, fridge, safe and if you want a kettle just ask & they'll supply it with crockery & tea bags. No coffee as the hotel only serves "good coffee" ie not...
