On the plus side: - The hotel is well placed (near the Peles Castle), has free parking onsite and the rooms are quite clean, nothing to complain here. - Almost no cell phone signal in the room. I mentioned it here because it did not bother me that much, but it's worth knowing. - At the reception, after mentioning the...

Pro's: Great location (by car), only 5 min walk till the castle, right in the forest, with a river running besides it, relaxing and quite scenery, by foot 20-30 min walk from the train station/center. Hotel restaurant - best aspect of the hotel, good food, good value for money, better food than most restaurants in Sinaia at very good prices....

Ate lunch, the food was good, not exceptional but ok. The soup was a little tasteless but we didn't have to wait long for the food. The staff was friendly but the place looked a little shabby (stained tablecloths). Ok experience.

If your idea of a nice hotel is old and mouldy then this hotel is ideal. After we refused a couple of rooms as they were disgusting we were given a "really good" room with dirty floors and torn sheets, broken equipment, mouldy and broken wardrobes, no curtain or privacy glass in the bathroom. We came as a family here...

I spent the Easter at this remarkable hotel, thanks to distinct architecture and excellent position, near to the biggest touristic attraction, the Peles Castle. The staff was friendly, ready to help. The prices was fair considering the area and accommodation. Because it's surrounded by forest, the GSM signal was very poor or not at all, I have to go outside...

We just took breakfast in the hotel restaurant but we were impressed with the services. The waiter was very friendly and careful, he knew exactly what we wanted; of course the food was tasty. The building looks also very good and is placed near Peles Castle. We will definitely return to this location, maybe we'll stay at the hotel also.

Stavilar is a small, historic hotel near the Peles Castle. The rooms are nice and roomy, and have modern bathrooms. It's family run, so things make take a few extra minutes if the staff are busy, but the owner is extremely helpful, and even gave us a ride to the train station to help us catch our train on time!...

Very friendly staff member checked us in and let us leave our bags, even though our room wasn't ready. Hotel was, clean, comfortable, good value for money, and in a fantastic location to walk to Peles Castle. We didn't eat there, but the restaurant looked good and service looked prompt.

We stayed for 1 night late June, 2015. We had the best room in hotel, with one double bed and one sofa bed. The room has as a plus a big wall closet and the biggest bathroom in hotel. The hotel was renovated two years ago, which is a plus. It is right on the Peles Castle domain, surrounded by...
