Visited as a couple with adult daughter. Beautiful place (with stained glass windows), walkable from town. Great hospitality! Great breakfast! Thank you Carmen! We all enjoyed our stay. Can't wait to come back.

We've been in Villa Retezat with another couple for 4 days, two weeks ago to spend the New Year Eve. The Villa which was built by the architect Karel Liman, the architect of Peles Castle, still keeps the 19th century atmosphere. The stained glass, the wooden steps, the curved painted ceiling, honestly I loved it. And Carmen, the villa manager,...

I really enjoyed my stay here! Beautiful traditional building. Carmen was really lovely, and made my stay very enjoyable. Breakfast was reasonably priced and so delicious! Close walk to town. Would definitely stay here again!

Buildt by one of the most famous architects of its time, Karel Liman, the house has kept its spirit. The rooms are different - reserve upfront to get a nice one, and do not be amazed to have a TV crew sitting besides you to make a documentary. If you catch the receptionist off hours, you might get a tour....

I booked a room online and no one called to confirm the reservation. And every time I tried to call the phone was either turned off or after the first ring they declined the call and never called me back.

Excellent building! An old villa charged with tones of atmosphere, stained glass and a garden with nice views. Karmen, the director, is the soul of this place and made us feel like home from the very first moment. We look forward to come again one day. We'd like to thank her and the stuf for making us feel so good!...

Very nice and rustic place in Sinaia, in a quiet and wonderful area. The owners treats you like a real king, explaining the history of the building and offering you the insights of the area! The breafast is delicious, it´s a must to try the "hawaian toast" ;) Definitely a place to come back for relaxing!

The house had amazing stained glass, antiques and architecture that made the stay very nice. Some of the rooms looked a little worn but I guess that is part of the charm. The breakfast was good but took awhile to prepare.

I've been with a group in May in Sinaia and we reserved a few rooms in Vila Retezat. The Villa looks splendid either from outside or inside. The villa was built by Karel Liman the architect which contributed to the building of Peles Castle. That's why is an artwork with a lot of wood sculpture, stained glass, painted ceilings etc....
