Hotel looked great on the website I go to Sligo very often but usually to Rosses Point but came across this hotel in Strandhill and thought I would give it a try. We had a lovely room with a great view of the sea and mountains but that is where it ended. There is no are for sitting and relaxing...

Dear Joanf Thankyou for your review on tripadvisor. I must say that i was disappointed to read the content therein. In your confirmation email upon booking, you would or at least should have received a confirmation email telling you that the breakfast was 'continental', and at that point you would have been made aware that we offer boiled eggs. I'm...

This place is excellent. Highly recommend it. Great rooms with excellent facilities. The Venue next door does excellent food and is very reasonably priced. As others have mentioned the breakfast is excellent and way more than I was expecting for the price.

Just had a weekend away with my husband in strandhill. I booked the strandhill lodge and suites because of its highly rated reviews on trip advisor, and we were not disappointed . Would definitely come back again. We had a balcony double room that over looked the beach, just fabulous. The breakfast in the morning was continental, everything you could...

Was away with a gang of friends, had booked two of the suites for the weekend. Was ideal! The breakfast was continental but also had boiled eggs. A gluten free range was also available. There was a living room available which had a selection for DVDs that you could watch. A coffee machine was also available for use all day...

Could not recommend this place highly enough! We stayed as a group in two suites which were perfect and tucked away together which was lovely because we stayed in one of the nights. breakfast was amazing in the morning - had a brilliant selection of gluten-free too. It's right beside the venue too which is amazing for food.

We went for a couples weekend away. Strandhill Lodge and Suites was very peaceful and secluded. Staff were very helpful. Rooms are gorgeous with sublime views. Very close to shops, beach and a short drive from some great, picturesque walking trails and hiking tracks.

We stayed only one night as we are on a self-drive tour of Ireland and Northern Ireland. This was our first night. Beautiful and quiet location. Friendly staff, great restaurant next door. We were in one of the suites that accommodated our family. Nice views out over the oceans and very quiet with no road and/or air condition noises -...

Could not fault this accomodation. Spacious, comfortable bed and everything you could ask for... Fridge, 2 types of coffee making facilities in room plus 24/7 coffee, tea and biscuits in comfortable lounge downstairs. Free Wi-fi, great breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. My husband said it was 'Mary Poppins'...practically perfect in every way.

I was ready to downgrade this hotel even before seeing it because they provide only a continental breakfast. But humble pie was quickly eaten along with the croissants! This hotel is not in Sligo but in Strandhill, about 8 km from the city centre. The room we had was spacious and clean. There is very little traffic so the hotel is very quiet.
