We went for Sunday lunch in Tankardstown house and it was absolutely perfect. There was a set price menu which was very reasonable for the high standard of food that was served. The staff were very polite and friendly and the surroundings were very cosy and quirky. It was our first visit there and we will most definitely be back...

Visited Tankardstown at the weekend for my cousins wedding. The whole experience was top class from start to finish. The Manor is really beautifully decorated and with open log burning fires there's a real country home scent around the place. All staff from Tankardstown that we came across throughout the day were amazing and could not have done enough for...

Seven cousins in two Courtyard cottages of Tankardstown House Hotel. The two story cottages are decorated to a very high standard with kitchen, sitting room, three double bedrooms and three bathrooms in each cottage. The kitchen is fully fitted if you want to make a coffee or an early morning cup of tea. However, I cannot recommend highly enough the...

This was our 4th visit to Tankardstown house. We've really enjoyed the previous visits but for her birthday I thought we'd make it a special occasion and go back for an evening meal. It was a Sunday night and the restaurant was quiet. Starters were fine if over priced for the quality of the ingredients. They were ok, just not...

Dear Douglas Many thanks for your review of dining at Tankardstown recently and I am sorry that you did not enjoy your meal with us on this occasion. We do indeed vividly remember you dining with us on that evening, as it was quiet, but thankfully we followed up with a very busy evening on Valentines night 2 days after...

Staff, food, grounds and service are amazing. The quality and attention to detail is second to none. We stayed in one of the cottages which was beautifully decorated and had everything you would need for a relaxing stay.

I found the cellar restaurant to be very nice. The lunch menu was small, which made it easier to choose from. The chicken with tomato and chorizo sauce was excellent. My two children ages 5 & 3 enjoy it also. Thanks to the staff for the friendly service.

Good morning Michael. Many thanks for the review of your recent stay with us. My sincere apologies that the heat would not work in your room, obviously some things are out of our control, the heating had been working perfectly for the guests on the previous night, as had the coffee machine in this room. Both have since been remedied,...

Attended a wedding her recently and stayed over in one of the cottages. From the moment of our arrival to our departure this was an excellent experience. The setting in the bar area was homely with a big open fire and the food at the reception was first class. Overall the level of service was outstanding. The accomodation in the...

By far our favourite Blue Book Hotel. Tankardstown is the perfect combination of a luxury boutique hotel in a truly stunning setting only an hour from Dublin. The atmosphere is instantly relaxing and the staff couldnt do enough for us whilst also respecting our privacy. The Master Suite is a sight to behold with no less than 16 sash windows...
