It is realy small villages, but you can find there beach without people and just walk around. But there is lots of seaweed. The water was cold, but you can try swimming or just soak your legs. Near the beach you can buy some food. It is good for children too, there is playground.

I didn't stay in the local area but I was visiting and stopped by. It was beautiful and so calming. We even found an inactive jellyfish, it just shows how far up shore the water comes. Definitely suggest going with friends, family, kids and dogs. Just be cautious if there are jellyfish on the ground and that they're not active...

I stayed at Maghery Beach house for 3 nights with friends as we were visiting the Mary of Dungloe festival. The house is very modern and the owners couldn't have made us feel more welcome. Well appointed rooms with ensuite and spectacular views of the beach. Breakfast was excellent and cooked to order. The local pub is a 5 minute...
