Enjoyed our one night stay here, as it was a fun cultural experience to sleep in a boarding school. There's no (working) elevator, so it's not an accessible location. As you would expect, it has a bit of an institutional feel. The room was large and clean, although there were some spiderwebs and dead insects outside our windows. It's a...

It is a school that is used as a hotel in the summer. It is nice, clean, the breakfast is good. The price is reasonable (for Iceland). The room are large (no TV). The view on the lake is beautiful and it is near to a very nice spa and a good restaurant too.

This hotel is in fact a school which turns into a hotel during the summer months. The rooms are OK (only a sink is in the room) with showers and toilets on the same floor. Breakfast is served in the main building. Nothing special in this place, just conveniently locate while visiting the area.

We stayed here for one night following a very tough 2 days trekking. As other reviews have stated, it is (or was) mostly a school so don't expect a normal hotel room, no kettle or TV and about half the rooms are not en suite. We headed round to our room in a separate block, which was very big with...

Hotel rooms were very small, no frills but clean. Front desk staff was very helpful and informative. Breakfast was very good, in fact, my family found the bread here to be the best of all the places we stayed. There were many choices for breakfast so there is something for everyone. They had a nice lounge area in our building...

We didn't know ahead of time (through no fault of the hotel) that we would be in dorm style rooms with shared bathrooms. This aside the facility was super clean, the beds comfy (although all single), and the number of bathrooms adequate for a group of under 20. It was a bit of a walk to the main building for...

2 single beds in dorm room, large space for dorms, very basic furniture, shared bathrooms that were very well maintained (several for a hallway), breakfast ok but crowded, dinner was good. Stay overall was ok for a one night stop in area. Good wifi, no tv,

This hotel was extremely basic. It's a boarding school during the year and it has that kind of feel. We reserved a room with a private bathroom, but most of the rooms have shared facilities. The room was so small that we didn't even have room to open our suitcases. The breakfast was okay, and the wifi works fine.

Came to Hotel Edda ML Laugarvatn with a large group. Rooms are basic but very clean and more than adequate. Food is much better than expected, dinner especially. Hotel is conveniently placed for the Golden Circle sights and has a picturesque position over looking Lake Laugarvatn.

Great Breakfast too! Loved the cheeses. Hosts were very welcoming and it is a great experience to stay in a local school turned into a hotel with all its commodities during the summer. Good use of space
