Lovely hotel, comfy beds and delicious food. Great base for Geysir, Gullfoss and Golden circle. We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting the above plus the hot river walk and some other waterfalls. Breakfast was lovely, very relaxed, buffet style. We ate in the restaurant one evening- it was delicious but expensive. Wi fi was excellent and free. Very...

We stayed at the Frost and Fire hotel for 2 nights in November. We had a double room with a balcony overlooking the river. The room was nice, the beds were super comfortable but the bathroom was a little cramped. It was clean and you get a dressing gown each and a pair of flip flops so you can go...

We came to Iceland after a week in top hotels in Milan and Venice. While those hotels were great, our favorite is the warm and cozy Frost and Fire. Our room looked out over the cold river and steaming hills. The thermal vents make this hotel unique and fun. Try cooking your soft boiled egg in the steam vent outside...

The hotel is in a ice place and the hot tub and pool are excellents. Our room was big and very comfortable. However no one had Hoover and thus you could not walk barefoot on the wooden floor. Otherwise a good find.

To the rural wilds of southern Iceland after 3 days in Reykjavik. A dramatic location perched above (during our rainfall-filled stay) a fast-flowing river in a shallow gorge. Sulphurous steam clouds wafting around the car as we parked. From the outside, the 3* hotel has much of the utilitarian appearance of many contemporary Icelandic guest houses, but inside was imaginatively...

The rooms are very functional and although not what you would say luxurious they have everything you need and are very comfortable. Stayed in November 2016 when the weather was typically drizzly and relatively cold but to sit in outdoor the hot tubs and swimming pool is fantastic. The breakfast is excellent and the evening meal was extremely good but...

We came here a big group and had the most amazing three course dinner. The starter was the best lobster soup we've tasted, the main course a delicious steak and last but certanly not least the mouth watering chocolate cake desert. Recommended!

Came here during winter and everything outside was covered in white adding to the experience of Iceland. The room we had was well equipped and very clean and conveniently located right next to the pool. My friend and I definitely tested the hot tub too. The occasional snow drift from the hill nearby made it very interesting. The restaurant on...

The location is great if you have a car and want to stop off whilst touring the south coast or Golden Circle. Hot tubs next to the river are a novelty to relax in at night although one wasn't working properly and was too cold to use when we were there. There is a hot swimming pool too and a...

Of the various places we stayed during our holiday to Iceland, this was our favourite! The staff were helpful and friendly, suggesting places to visit and making our stay welcoming. Once you learn to ignore the sulphur smell from the on site geothermal spring, we loved star gazing, albeit at the cloudy sky, in the hot tubs and pool on...
