We stayed in the cutest guesthouses. One of them only had single beds and the other had a double with single beds. The resident dogs and goat made this place so cute. The goat is like a dog and will sleep in your window outside knocking its horns on your window all night long. We were able to see an...

This camp site seems to pop up out of no where down a side road! It was a bit of a quirky campsite that hints back to early Icelandic times with the style of the huts. There were some communal kitchen facilities in a hut. Inside the light levels were quite dim. I know it was supposed to be authentic...

We stayed at the campsite for two glorious days. Good facilities. The meatsoup in Icelandic Kjötsúpa tasted fabulously, good service and fríhendis. Will be back This is a farm with sheep, goats and you might even spot the arctic fox. It is situated in Möðrudalur and the panorama of the mountains will stun you.

We spent a night in the guesthouse in a rather small room with no closet. Comfort was rather limited and the shower did not offer much stream nor very hot water. There is a living room and a kitchen for guests to use. The location is quiet however and the restaurant (on the other side of the road) offers OK...

We went to camp 2 nights there before leaving for the F905/910 roads in direction of Askja volcano. Camping is very clean and well placed, just beside a little river, the common area is very warm and the staff is kind. They have a little gas station to full before leaving for the highlands and showers and many sinks to...

There are several buildings on Modrudalur farm which are equipped for overnight visitors. We stayed in a large house which slept 10 of the 12 people in our tour group. There was a large communal lounge room and kitchen and many comfortable bedrooms both upstairs and downstairs. We took dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, Fjallakaffi, on Modrudalur farm.

The guesthouse is very clean, modern and has everything a traveller would need. The location is fantastic, the location is breathtaking, the staff is lovely and friendly- the 2 dogs are also doing a great job :) The restaurant is not to be missed with its fresh and local produce meals - the quality is in the taste.

What a fantastic place! We stayed in one of the two cabins. It was small, but well equipped and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a shame that we were only there for one night.

Thanks for all, dear friends, we had a great stay with all you need. As a bonus we have a wonderful record player and a few vinyl like Beatles, Bee Gees and other oldies in a wood house surrounded by turf, sheeps and beautiful scenery
