Hotel overlooks the lake adjacent to a working farm. The staff are friendly and efficient, the room was clean and comfortable. We ate at the restaurant which was excellent - great choice on menu and good service.

We stayed in the newer section of the hotel on the 4th floor. The room was modern and comfortable. Our room did not look towards the lake but over the car park but none the less it was very quiet. Best curtains so far in Iceland to block out the light. Many of these newer hotel rooms can seem a...

I was a bit skeptical when I approached the hotel but when I walked in, I was delighted to see it was modern and quaint. The hotel is undergoing some renovations but I think it should be completed soon. I wouldn't let that deter you. I had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and both meals were fantastic. The bed...

Stunning location, updated, clean and comfortable stay. Friendly service and well kept spacious rooms. Highly recommend to anyone staying in the area, would be the top choice to stay on another visit. One of the best hotels during our entire 8 day trip in Iceland.

We were there for one night but we could have spent an entire week! Big room, clean, comfy bed, nice bathroom and everything modern and new. Also the views from our room were awesome! Well located. The only "bad" thing could be the spa that is not very big, but is really cheap!!

This is a lovely hotel situated right on the lakeside. Built in 1903 it is very Icelandic, cosy, comfortable & pretty. We had a large room at the front of the hotel (not the lakeside) but the view of the small town from there was good too. Being a short distance away from the road we had a very quiet...

Even held my bags to my room. Had all meals there for these days after the first experience. My mouth still waters reflecting on the great food,...

We stayed here for one night as we drove the Ring Road. Our room was of a good size, with great amenities within the room (tea/coffee facilities, hair dryer, heating controls). Perfectly located to town, supermarkets, petrol stations and restaurants. Breakfast in the morning was included and by far, one of the best continental breakfasts I've ever seen. Highly recommend...

This by far was the best guesthouse i have stayed in my whole trip around the Iceland. Its just in front of the lake. We have stayed in the new renovated part. Rooms were spacious, new and very clean. They had tvs in the rooms too. The guesthouse had a jacuzzi and steam room which totally made us relaxed at...

The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and clean. This was more of a hotel than a guesthouse. The breakfast (and dinner) was delicious, with some fish oil to boost your health. We also saw the Northern lights here!
