Our room was clean and large enough for the two of us. Plenty of space to organize our luggage. Nice bathroom and shower with provided soaps. Restaurant on premises. We didn't say there but it looked nice. Nearby restaurants and shops. We used the spa on the lower level that was wonderful. $20 per person and well worth it. I'd...

The manager on duty on Christmas was holding a one man show trying to mend both the counter of the guesthouse as well as the restaurant - & I'd say he has done an outstanding job of both at the same time, not comprising on quality of service at all despite how many things he had to do simultaneously. He...

This adorable historic guesthouse is very inviting and modern with a country ambience. The staff were all very pleasant and made our stay even better. The rooms were very spacious, clean and just lovely. We were lucky to get a room with a view of the lake. The breakfast was very good, with lots of options - all delicious! The...

Other than the staff not being very friendly (definitely not the norm for Iceland), we had a very nice stay at this hotel. Very quiet rooms and comfortable beds. Spa was excellent and we'd definitely recommend splurging for that while you are there.

Lovely place to stay. Beautiful view over the water. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant and the breakfast buffet in the morning. It's an excellent restaurant.

The hotel feels homely and the breakfast spread is one of the best in our 10 day iceland trip. The waffle is really good. Our room faces the carpark. We did't booked the lake facing room. Would advice to do that as the lake view is beautiful. Would have given a five star if we had booked a room facing...

We found the reviews of this restaurant on TA and decided to walk in. Were greeted by the horse smell in front of the hotel, but as soon as we reached the restaurant it was a complete different story. It has a really nice fine dining setting without looking pretentious. We ordered the Langoustine salad and Burger and both were...

Stay here! stay here! I'm driving the ring road. I was way overcharged near Hofn at hotel smrlabjorg. This place is half the price. The WIFI is great. It is on the lake. Rooms are superb. Did I forget to say...... Believe me and stay.

What a delight to walk into this restaurant... not only was it lovely to behold, but the food was wonderful !! I ordered their lamb, and as I understand, it is raised on their own property...so needless to say it was fresh. The service was lovely... our waitress was new and trying so hard to please us - which they...

This is a lovely hotel on the lakeshore. You can just walk down the drive and across the road if you want to get something from the supermarket or go to one of the few restaurants in town. The breakfast was very comprehensive. The staff were very friendly. We had a lovely room overlooking the lake side. You may get...
