Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My sister and I visited on a Collette Tour of Greece. There is a beautiful monastery on the precipice above the city of Kalambaka. We were put right in the mood for a visit to a religious site, as we were awake all night praying. Mostly we prayed for some restful sleep because the beds in room 206 are hard as bricks. The hotel is lovely otherwise. Lovely view from our room, too.

Travelled here on a Cosmos tour. September 2021. Beautiful location; and parts of the hotel-interior were very nice - the tile , walls, etc, in the lobby and common areas.
Also, an ornate, "mini-chapel" outside was very unique; with a beautiful interior. And it was a short walk to a great little downtown area. However, the air conditioning was not working; and this was a very hot time of year. Also, the pool should have still been open; it was instead apparently closed for the season. Very hot weather, mind you, up to 90F. The mattress was thin and hard; and it's funny; I think I now see another reviewer commenting on that. I seem to recall the shower was not that inviting as well. Perhaps they were hurt economically during Covid; but they need to fix these things.

The hotel is a cab ride from town . Offers breakfast and a buffet dinner, no lunch . Be prepared to come into town . Cab was 4 €. It is a place to stay but nothing fancy. I would not rate it 4 stars. Wine selection was very basic.
There are two little chapels on the back of the property that are very nice.

This hotel is on the outskirts of town, and there really isn’t much around it. We were part of a Meteora Thrones travel tour, and this is where the tour deposited us. We didn’t have a rental car. As a result, we felt extremely isolated at this hotel. The hotel has a skeleton staff and there did not seem to be a lot of people staying at the hotel. The limited staff that are at the hotel are friendly, and will strive to meet your needs. If we wanted lunch or dinner, we could walk a few kilometers in the scorching sun or call for a taxi at a cost of 5 euros. Also, the hotel is on a hill, so it’s really not an easy walk. Finally, if you order delivery, make sure you emphasize the name of the hotel. There is a hotel in town with a similar name. We ordered food delivery, and they tried to deliver the food to the wrong hotel. Nevertheless, the hotel has potential; hey, they were cleaning the pool during our visit :). Finally, the hotel is rated as 4-stars, but don’t rely on that rating. Definitely not a 4-star hotel.

As a travel agent I travel all over Greece and I would like to express my experience staying in this hotel, I must say that it looks nice when you first walk in, but the lady behind the desk was so rude and made all of my group feel bad.
It was clean, the day was hot 37 degrees Celsius I fell asleep and around 23:00 I woke up wet perspiring because they switched the AC if so the can save money, I called the front desk complaining and they switched the AC on again but not for long at 02:00 AC was switched off again . As for breakfast not to bad I just wish they can have some fresh bread for people to enjoy. I’m sorry for this review but they need to improve and prove themselves that they deserve the four stars they have them.

This hotel was probably fine when new…but that was some time ago. The surroundings are beautiful and the public areas are very good, but it goes downhill from there. Our room was cleanish, but cramped and not very comfortable. The bed was hard, with no mattress protector (a pet peeve of mine). The bathroom was shabby with maintenance issues. Very poor water pressure in the shower. The toilet made a lot of noise but was somewhat ineffectual. It took several flushes to do the job! We did not have a restful night due to the intermittent roaring of air con from another room. We had to turn our own air con off due to the noise.
On a positive note, the staff were very pleasant and breakfast was very good. Wifi was frustrating and unreliable. Overall, not recommend.

This was my favorite hotel on my Top Deck trip. The rooms were amazing, the location was excellent, the facilities including pool/reception areas was amazing, the restaurant was good. This hotel is quality for the money with a very relaxing ambience. A Lidel supermarket is a short walk away. Plenty of parking. Clean and nice mountainous views.

Not a bad hotel. Reasonably located not too far from the restaurants and cafes etc. Rooms were average but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Wi-fi provided free of charge. Service was good and, best of all after a very hot day out and about, the pool was excellent.

The hotel was the first we saw as we drove in kalabaka. We were too tired and it was raining heavily so we took the room, even tho it was far more expensive than doubles in other Famissis hotels in Kalabaka (4 total!) on the web.

The room was poor. The two single beds were too narrow and very short, my feet were hanging out and I am only 6' 1".

The bathtub was lousy and looked worn out and 1960s vintage. The light on the balcony was not working. We even saw a cockroach (!!!!) as we were playing cards in the lobby of the 2nd floor.

The breakfast was poor. Their orange juice tasted like toxic chemicals, and they only had full fatr milk, and nothing warm, only cold ham and cheese, and only white bread, no whole wheat (there or anywhere else we stayed in Kalabaka or Litohoro)
