Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We selected Hotel Antoniadis to enjoy our Xmas for 2011. A modern and very warm hotel for winter and not only, the staff was very friendly, we enjoyed their restaurant buffet.

Keep that hotel has two buildings connected each other by a common reception desk and cafe / lounge area, if you would like to enjoy better view to Meteora rocks prefer the old building but if you have car and you by pass the area prefer the new building.

No more than 7 minutes the walking distance till central square and you will follow all the main road with all the shopping interest

I agree with others that the hotel is tired - both inside and out. However, I found it to be clean and reasonably comfortable. My disappointment came at 'feeding time' when as there were a couple of other tours in at the same time, it became like a feeding frenzy. Not everyone is willing to queue and the noise was not good! One night was sufficient...it did the job - just.

A non-descript hotel on the edge of the scruffy town of Kalambaka that nestles under the towering cliffs of Meteora. Very handy to see the sites of Meteora but to be honest nobody is going to stay here for more than one night.

Good location and spacious room, but the bed was very uncomfortable and unsteady. They weren’t finished updating their systems during our stay since the room had an actual key to it. Someone (NOT staff) also tried entering the room, which looked to be very easy for that person to accomplish thanks to the old system.

A great surprise was waiting for us (we booked for our wedding anniversary), when we entered our room! Roses and decorations and wine. The location was excellent, staff very polite, variety of food for breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel in Kalambaka.

This is a budget hotel even though specified as 4 star. Small Rooms, poor infrastructure. No Wifi connectivity in the room. Average hotel. Location is good as we can see the Meteora. Hotel photos and reviews will obviously mis guide travelers.

Hotel's 2nd floor leads to the main street of kalambaka, where you can get access to restaurants, marts and souvenir shops. The hotel is dated, room is generally the bare minium and quite small. My room was located next to the lift lobby and soundproofing was terrible. We woke up whenever someone walks by our door and we could hear their conversation loud and clear. Toilet was pretty run-down with rusty taps. Tried both the hotel's dinner and breakfast and both are TERRIBLE. There were still ends of chicken feather on the drumstick and flunky taste on their pasta. They totally murdered yhe dishes. There is no variety, just the bare minimum again. Don't expect much by staying here and you will do fine.

Stayed here during a Cosmos tour. Worst hotel I have encountered in 6 guided coach tours.

Sesame seeds and salt on and in bed sheets. Shower terrible.

I don't expect reception staff to wear uniforms, but they should nor be as scruffy as this lot.

We arrived in Kalambaka beneath the stunning monoliths and monasteries of Meteora on a searingly hot July day desperate for a swim in the hotel's advertised rooftop pool to find it was not available - actually it was empty and remained so for the duration. When I tried to log on to the internet, it would only work downstairs in the lounge - mysteriously this had corrected itself by the next day. On the first morning, the shower after continuous running only managed to be barely luke warm. The breakfast, compared to others experienced in Turkey and Greece, was mediocre to say the least. Late on the second evening, our last, the toilet in our room refused to flush and we had to pack up and move. Admittedly, they did upgrade us to what I'm sure they believe is their luxury suite. It was twice the size with a couch and coffee table, two elderly TV sets, an enormous empty and exceptionally ugly and grubby balcony and - wonder of wonders! - a spa. Unfortunately, when I decided to luxuriate in the spa before packing up next morning, I found that the plug had somehow welded itself into a half-open position so that it was impossible to fill the tub. All in all, it was a somewhat Fawlty Towers experience. Admittedly the staff were friendly and helpful, but the hotel itself is very tired, run -down, dilapidated and in desperate need of renovation and, I suspect, a more caring management. Our Meteora experience was magical, but we couldn't help wishing our agent had booked us into somewhere - anywhere - else.
