Having stayed in a few, this one is the best one so far. I gave a very positive review to one in Delphi and then regretted it after a cockroach experience in the bathroom the next morrning.
Wifi works well and this is the first proper 'double bed' - not two singles pushed together. Bedrooms at the back have a view onto the mountains - lit up at night.
The town is lively - a lot of cafes and Taverna Dionysus nearby is recommended.

This place wasn’t my cup of tea. It was old, but not the cute vintage kind. We had 3 rooms so I will be mentioning things from all 3. More like everything was molding and there were centuries of dirt crusted on. The washrooms (W.C) were dirty. The doorway had what looks like mold and water damage. Multiple places were rusted, including the shower. The showers floor was dirty and honestly very nasty. Another rooms sink faucet was terrible. The tiniest bit up would spray water everywhere. Imagine an umbrella where the water is going everywhere but down the drain. My room had 3 people in it, the extra bed that they put in was terrible. It was too flimsy and soft, I felt like I was going to break it. There isn’t a kettle in the room. The wifi barely worked, (especially at night) it was slow and I was lucky if anything loaded. The lobby was nice though. The washroom outside the room was straight up creepy. You have to go down the stairs in the lobby. There were creepy unlit hallways and do not enter signs. The lights took a long time to turn on and kept turning off while I was in it. The main reason I’m giving this place two stars is because they had free breakfast which was still okay. They didn’t have pancakes. Two stars.

The hotel is really nice. When you walk in the main entrance it looks very good. The lady on the reception was a nice lady and extremely helpful.
The room was nicely done up. Then we noticed no kettle!! Me thinking it was an oversize asked her where it was and was told they don't have them. But she will make us cups of hot water if we need it.
The bathroom was small with a half bath tub but it was really cold in there. The bedroom was very warm which was nice as it was freezing out there.
Don't bother with the breakfast. It felt the hotel mainly geared for coach parties

Very beautiful hotel for 3 star rating. Extremely decorative with paintings, photos and statues . Located on the Main Street and amazing views of the Meteora Monastery. Offers small buffet breakfast and all local shops are open quite late in the evening. Has many eateries and small pubs along the Main Street as well.

Classic 80's hotel. clean and tidy rooms. bathrooms a little small, but for a regenerating shower and for a pair pf night, more than enough. Breath-taking view. excellent hotel for those of not too many pretensions

The Hotel Famissi is the hotel that once was...probably built in the sixties or seventies, it's obvious that the place at one time was quite nice. The reception floor is overdecorated in a sort of mid-East casino style, but it's clean and well kept. The sitting areas are a riot of plush fabrics, exotic chandeliers, throw pillows with crystal beading, and deeply swagged draperies. Mae West would be quite comfortable throwing a party in these public rooms. Everything goes with platinum blonde.

The staff was super friendly and eager to please. The son Vangelis was as nice as he could be and the rest of the family all seem to be on premises. So we were assigned our rooms and were warned that the elevators are tiny and move slowly. This is correct. I walked to the second floor where I had been assigned a suite at the end of the hall. My suite faced the street side of the hotel and consisted of a very small sitting room with a sleep sofa made up for sleeping and a single armchair. A glass door led to a small terrace overlooking the street. Floors throughout the suite were polished limestone. There was a short hall with a small bathroom to the right and a large bedroom done in shades of soft yellow. The bedroom was comfortable with king bed, carved wooden night stands, a built-in unit with vanity, refrigerator, closet, drawer unit and mirror, and pair of faux Victorian chairs upholstered in white vinyl. I never got the TV to work. Double doors led to a second terrace that overlooked the street if you look right and the mountains and monastery if you look left.

The room was ok...but the air conditioning barely took the edge off the 103 degree Farenheit heat and sleep quality was so-so even though the bed was clean and comfortable. The draperies were falling off their hooks; the cheap plastic toilet seat was loose, the toilet paper roll was empty, the towels were frayed, and the place had seen better days. In the hallways, there was carpet that had been unrolled yet never properly installed. In contrast were beautiful solid mahogany paneled doors. The bath was so tiny that you couldn't take a shower without closing the door. The lace curtains were charming, but the tub was stained and needed attention, mirrors had finger prints. The soap smelled of some awful scent and the only other amenity was something in a clear plastic bottle that was the color of Windex labeled "Shampoo & Bath Foam". It looked like it could burn several layers of skin away. Fortunately, I travel with French milled soap appropriated from other hotels.

The location of the hotel is fine. It's at the very end of the village street, but there are dozens of little shops and tavernas all the way through the town. Three major squares all a bit of a walk from the hotel. Breakfast in the dining room was ok...basic bread, cheese, yogurt, meats, hard-boiled eggs, and pound cake. All in all, the hotel was ok, but my guess is that there are much nicer places to stay in this village.

We stayed in Sept this year and found the hotel to be more interesting visually than functionally. Actually, this hotel had the hardest bed and pillows i have ever slept (or attempted to sleep) on. The bathroom had a deep old tub with a curtain and a very low sink (had to bend to use it and i am only 5'3"). the toilet sat on a corner and blocked the door from opening all the way.
The balcony was nice. We were street side and overlooked the hotel across the street which appeared to be under renovations. Looked a bit like the french quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The neighborhood was nice to walk around, good shopping, bars and scenery at the base of The Meteora Monasteries. The staff was very nice and they offered a good breakfast as well as good evening meal. It did have very good free internet.

We stayed here as part of the Cosmos Greek Odyssey tour. The room had a magnificent view of the monasteries (if you face the back). My friend's room faced the front and they had a street view. We went off season so it wasn't too loud but I could imagine if it's crowded there, it would get noisy. Lots of little souvenir shops and coffee shops. There was a small refrigerator in the room. We only stayed here one night so it was not that bad. ATM's nearby as well.

We stayed in this hotel for one night, as part of a tour group. We found it to be a very pleasant, clean hotel. Our room was not huge but it was adequate, with a nice balcony. The bathroom was clean, the sheets and towels were clean, the food was good. There are at least two internet cafes nearby, as well as a bank and grocery/souvenir shops.
I would not rate this as a 'luxury' hotel; but I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean spot to rest their weary travelling bodies.

I loved it here, people were so helpful, the room was nice, the lobby looked beautiful and the region is stunning. I had never heard of Meteora before and got surprised in a very positive way. Reception can help you to arrange tours and will give you advice where the best spots for pictures are.
