Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! The staff were so imminently generous and helpful. The location is incredible. And the room was beautiful. A big canopy bed which felt like sleeping in a fantasy. So perfect. Wish I stayed longer.

Stayed here for two nights in a room with Meteora view. I reckon the two days have been the two only days with heavy rain and fog hanging down the mountain sides :). Even though, we managed to walk along the footpath to Holy Trinity. The other monasteries were visited by car. We had a nice dinner at the hotel restaurant and the breakfast was more than ok.

A beautiful guesthouse. About a 2 minute walk to the town centre. Clean, very comfortable and very friendly staff. Everything about Kalabaka/Meteora was awesome, so having great accommodation really topped it off. My sister had the best room, spacious and gorgeous. A lovely restaurant below, was quite busy and a nice outdoor dining area.

Good hospitality, perfectly sized, furnished and comfortable rooms. Also had great view. They have their own restaurant downstairs, you might have dinner in. Their location is very central, so if you ever travel to Meteora and also want to spend time down town; choose Mythos.

Planned 2 night stay. Fled after first night. Almost did not make it through the first night. Other than great views of the Monasteries, this place was a dud. Check in at the bar in the restaurant?? Creepy door to building entrance for rooms? Stairway was uneven and I only hit my head twice. Six hours of ac and the room was still hot. Beds were terrible and something about the small winged black things??

A warm welcome awaits. I found this guesthouse and restaurant to be more comfortable than a hotel (it was chosen for me by Visit Meteora tours). My room’s balcony faced the Meteora rocks and a monastery. The small bathroom had a hand-held shower. Smoking is allowed on balconies, and you may be sharing a balcony (with a partition) with the adjacent room. Guests with afternoon departures are able to check out at 12 noon, leave their luggage in the restaurant and return later (and use the bathroom facilities), before departing. Or sip a coffee and use WiFi. I appreciated that very much.

Great location very close to centre and walk to Agia Triada monastery. Balcony had views above the town and towards the Meteora rocks. Helpful staff were really pleasant with recommendations for walks and trips. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We arrived to Meteora by car and suddenly stuck on this guesthouse. The place is decorated in an old traditional way, it seemed very nice. I can't say that I liked the bed and the soundisolation (we could hear every movement of our neghbours), but for a tired traveller who stays overnight to check in here is very good. The overall condition of the place is comfortable and cosy. I liked the old-style bathroom and the chimney at the tavern. The owner of the place was really helpful and provided us with a detailed scan-copy of the map and directions to visit Meteora Monasteries. He also advised us to see the old Bysantine 100-year old church nearby, which was definitely worth visiting.

The rooms are basic and a little cramped. I regret paying extra for the superior rooms on the 2nd floor- to get a view of the Meteora you have to stand on the balcony’s edge so do not expect waking up to a view from your window. Breakfast was poor.

Prior to arrival, I enquired the owners about tours and taxi services there. The booking process was swift and they seemed welcoming. I quote from their email correspondence “When you get here, we will give you all the information you need about the monasteries, buses, taxis, tours, everything you need to have an unforgettable time at Meteora!! You shouldn't worry about anything!!

This was not true in reality. I arrived to Kalampaka having had my belongings including passport stolen just before I embarked on my train from Athens. I was obviously feeling stressed and had to make a police report. There was a lady who met us when we arrived at the guesthouse. She spoke minimal English and gave me the wrong directions to the police station and I ended up lost at the wrong side of the town (where I received help from another hotel). I also asked for her advice with booking tours but she could not offer any suggestions. Even on the last day when I asked if she could book a taxi for us to the train station, she had no idea how to do so.

Unfortunately I only got to meet the owner of the guesthouse for a brief moment during breakfast. He apologised for his absence and mentioned about bringing someone to the hospital. It is difficult not to be skeptical as he also runs a larger hotel nearby.

In summary if you are looking for a place to stay, it is well located and basic. But do not expect any kind of hospitality here.

We only stayed here one night but looking back we wish we would have stayed longer. We had the most amazing sleep in this establishment.
The rooms were very quaint and comfortable. The beds we very comfortable and the staff was very accommodating.
We had a great view of the rocks.
Be prepared to carry your luggage up a couple flights of uneven stairs.
There was ample free parking.
Breakfast was simple but satisfying.
