Nice, clean rooms, good breakfast. Right in the middle of the town-center, next to taverns, coffee-shops and bars.
The perfect place for our 2 days trip in Kalambaka to visit the monasteries.
Air-conditioning and wi-fi access included in the price.
The room was small but enough for us 2.

Right in the centre of town. A nice comfortable little hotel. Our room was fairly small, but with a great view of the monasteries. It is a quaint little hotel, with a lovely sweeping staircase. We enjoyed our stay.

A bed & breakfast feel; this hotel is absolutely adorable, with paintings and old family photos filling the halls, the stairwell & accenting every room. There’s even a lift! We were prepared to carry our heavy luggage up stairs. A wonderful spread for breakfast every morning. Thank you so much!!

We arrived in Kalambaka in the late afternoon, hot, tired and with no accomodation booked. From where we were sitting having a coffee we spotted the sign for the hotel and decided to take a chance.

The hotel is very central however I'm afraid that's all it has to recommend it. It became increasingly apparent after we had booked and paid for the room that the whole place was heavy with the smell of cigarette smoke, this included the room where breakfast was served.

The room was clean as was the bathroom but the smell of smoke was simply awful. It is a budget hotel but as we realised the next day there are similarly priced hotels nearby.

Location was above the square where the food was easily available. The patisserie under the hotel sells awesome sweets. The square has excellent food available right outside the door of the hotel. We stayed on the top floor but ended up with a view which we could look up to the monasteries. Good sized rooms and continuous hot water was great for the cold night. Just down from the hotel was the VisitMetorea tours which organised an excellent walking tour of the monasteries for us at short notice.
On the negative side, the owners of the hotel are heavy smokers and the whole hotel smelt of cigarette smoke. During breakfast, we had a full cup of butts on the coffee table behind us sitting in water which smelt revolting. The breakfast was pretty standard, not that great, but average.

The location could bot been better. The buses from Athens stop 50m away from the hotel and in the same spot you can catch a bus to Meteora monastery area. Main bus station is hardly 200m away. Despite hotel's central location, it's quiet.

I got a room (single occupancy) facing the rocks and side street. The room and bathroom were nice and rather spacious, so was the balcony. The bed was comfy.

The only down side was the cleaning. There was hair all over the place and a dust ball, size of a tennis ball, under the bed. Bathroom was not clean and there was even an used earbud on the floor! I complained about the issue at the reception and the lady apologized and cleaned the room. Well, the dust and hair were gone but the earbud was still welcoming me in the bathroom (despite mentioning about it at the reception!).

The breakfast in the hotel was really delicious and the staff at the reception was really helpful, friendly and spoke good English. They had recently updated their Wifi so it was really fast. It's a shame if this great hotel with a prime location goes down due to lack of cleaning!

Comfort is pretty minimal, but the hotel is super-inexpensive and well located in the village at the bottom of the Meteora monasteries. Great view on the mountains from (all?) rooms, free wifi, walking distance from restaurants. Credit card not accepted - bring cash!

Great location and a nice breakfast but two serious disadvantages.
Smell of cigarettes and strange perfumes everywhere...bedroom, bathrooms, even dining room. Something terrible, second thing, they don't change your towels neither clean your bathroom. for the very first time I faced something like that and I need to point out that I travel quite a lot. This hotel got only 21 rooms and it's not really packed in a low season , so not sure why the owners don't hire someone for cleaning or maybe even doing it on their own since they spend most of the time smoking and chilling out. For this price it's really unacceptable. i would recommend you to stay somewhere else if you plan to spend more than one night in Kalambaka.
