Nice place to stay for it's price. Excellent staff and service. Clean rooms. Great location and views
Minuses: thin walls, you will hear everything from corridor and neighboring rooms.
Breakfasts made from cheapest products, so they are not delicious

We stayed one night in hotel Galaxy to visit the monasteries of Meteora. The hotel is located in the city centre of Kalambaka in a little side street of the main street. That way it was peaceful yet also very close to bars, restaurants and shops. You could easily park your car for free in one of the surrounding streets. From our room, we had a stunning view on the mountains and on one of the monasteries of Meteora. Unfortunately, the walls of the room were a tad older and therefore thinner. Thus, they were not very soundproof and we could hear the visitors in the hallway and the rooms next door. The hotel staff, and in particular the receptionists, were extremely nice and helpful. Upon arrival, they welcomed us warmly and gave us a lot of inside tips and information to visit the monasteries. The breakfast buffet was extensive and fresh.

Perfect position in a quiet street in the centre of town. Five minute walk from the train station. We had a room which I suspect had one of their better views of the stunning rocks. The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was interesting, unfortunately the waitress in the breakfast room couldn’t speak English so we weren’t exactly sure what we were eating, not the best when you have allergies. The shower was hot. Room very clean. Nice little balcony. We couldn’t find a kettle in the room and my husband went down stairs to enquire. There is no kettles in the rooms but you are welcome to come down stairs and make yourself a cup of tea whenever you like. My husband made two cups of tea and by the time he got them back to the room they were cold. We were surprised when we checked out to find we were charged three euro per teabag! This was the first Greek hotel we have stayed in so not sure if standard practice but we have never encountered this anywhere else we have travelled in the world. We weren’t happy especially since we weren’t advised of this.

Only stayed one night. Hotel is in great location, one street from main street so is quiet. The room and bathroom are small but very clean. The breakfast was great selection of fresh food. All the staff were friendly and even helped locate a pharmacy after I checked out.

This is a small 2 star hotel. It has a tiny bathroom and basic clean accommodations. The shower is only a hand held spray head and the whole floor is going to get wet. Preferably only one person at a time can use the bathroom. Notwithstanding, it offers slippers, toothbrushes, body gel, conditioner and TV and telephone, BUT no safe in the room. It is an OK hotel if you are staying only one night. It is located near a main street with stores and restaurants. They offer a good breakfast with a variety of items.

This hotel has friendly staff and all good things to say about it. I love the area. Easy to get food and supplies. The staffs are friendly and warm. Breakfast selection is good good enough to get you going for the day. But after climbing the rocks to the Monasteries, u going to be famished😬. I recommend this hotel for its centre location and friendly staffs. One to name: Anthony, always asking if he could help us all the time. Making your stay convenient. And please put on sneakers or shoes for the trip to the Monastries. Long skirts are prefered flr the females and shorts below knees or long pants for the males. The hile demands a lot of energy and go by tour easier.

Great position, right in the center of the town, 2 min walk to all restaurants and bars. But very quiet for a good rest in the night time.
Professional staff, quick check in, very friendly reception.
Clean room and quick wi fi.
RECOMMENDED!!!

Hotel Galaxy staff are magnificent. They go above and beyond what is expected, they let us leave our luggage with them before check in and after check out so we didn't have to drag our laggage aroubd town. They are very polite, friendly and happy to help where they can. The rooms are clean and tidy, definitely the best value for money for accomodation.
