From the first minute, we were greeted warmly and given extensive information about the monasteries(hours, #stairs, days closed). The rooms were very nice and we had a view of the monasteries on the hill tops. The staff was very kind and even gave us a...More
It is a good choice when visiting Meteora.
The rooms are well maintained and they are very clean. The staf is very polite.
The breakfast is very complete with a wide variety of products.
I would recommend this hotel if you travel to Meteora

I couldn't imagine a better experience. Maria, the owner, and her staff are very friendly and helpful. Everyone speaks perfect English and they will help you with your Greek. The front desk staff, especially Apostolia and Olympia, are extremely knowledgeable about everything having to do...More

We went to Meteora after a cruise (so we were rested up) as a one night overnight trip from Athens via train. Booked on-line (the railroad is called TrainOse) for 59 Euros R/T for 2 in first class (do this, it gets you a slightly smaller compartment--6 people--rather than open seating. About 5 hours each way. Very scenic and you aren't dealing with driving in Greece. The train station in Kalambaka is a mile or two from the Dellas Hotel, but taxis are very cheap (~5 Euro each way, as I recall). There is a direct train (no transfer required) in the morning which got us to Kalambaka just after 1 PM. We checked in at the hotel, had a late lunch and then went on the "Visit Meteora" sunset tour. The next morning we took the 1/2 day "Visit Meteora" tour (different monasteries...very complimentary to the sunset tour, had a late lunch and then took the late afternoon (5:30 PM) direct train back to Athens. Gets you back to Athens at about 10:30, another reason to do this when you are well rested The two tours gave us a nice, pretty complete experience in Meteora. You could, of course, stay longer.
