I rate Monastiri Guesthouse 5/5 because we received incredible, friendly service, a super clean and spacious room with warm comfy bed, the best breakfast in Greece and we simply didn't want to leave.
Dita and Spiros are wonderful hosts that speak fluent English and Dita always met us every day with a smile and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay in this lovely, quaint town.
It is only 5 minute walk to town and 2 minutes to train station. Perfectly safe neighborhood so you can walk around at night without worry. Everyone in the town is super friendly and to make it even more special, you can see the incredible Meteora from your room. From our balcony we could have tea and watch the sunset over the mountains. There are also plenty of little walking tracks, from 30 minutes to half - day, or just a walk into town to pop into the local coffee shops and bakeries.
The breakfast was so delightful with hand pressed orange juice, espresso maker, freshly brewed coffee, tea, all types of meats, cheeses, freshly baked savoury and sweet Greek pies, many different types of breads, omelette, boiled eggs, fruits, nuts, salads, yogurt, cereal, home made preserves, cakes, biscuits and the best local honey I've ever tasted. Dita also spoiled me with gluten free options for my breakfast which was so helpful because it was delicious.
The bathroom is also very sleek and not a speck of mould (personally something I look for), the shower water is hot and all the rooms have adjustable heating which makes the room feel even more cozy.
If you are considering staying at Kalambaka this is the perfect guesthouse and you will leave feeling like part of the family, please consider supporting this lovely family business instead of the big hotels. You will love it!

Stayed with friends for 2 nights whilst visiting the monasteries. Hotel situated in a quiet part of town a short walk from the main activity, we felt perfectly at ease walking back from restaurants in town in the evening. Lovely friendly welcome & invited to stay by the pool until our room was ready as we see a little early. Pool is lovely. Room for 4 with amazing views was quirkily decorated, spotlessly clean with nice touches such as sweets & lots of toiletries. Large balcony was great for 4 & we sat with our drinks in the evening marvelling at the views of the gigantic rocks with monasteries perched above them. Our room was serviced after the first night & clean towels & more toiletries provided. Breakfasts were great, plenty of choice including homemade cheese & spinach pies & cakes. Lovely yoghurt too. Highly recommend this hotel, great value, stunning views, very clean & welcoming, helpful staff. Thankyou

We have just spent 2 nights at Dita's excellent guesthouse which has amazing views of Meteora. The rooms are spacious and spotless, breakfast offers great variety with many homemade dishes and there is a pool with terrace to enjoy. Parking was easy and Kalambaka centre, with numerous restaurants and bars, is only a couple of minutes walk away. Dita is very knowledgeable about the area and is happy to offer advice. We would definitely recommend.

We had a magnificant stay at guesthouse monastiri. The rooms are modern and clean with a view on the meteora, the staff is superfriendly, delicious breakfast, great swimming pool and the location is very good, 100 meters from the bus and train station and 5 min walk from the city centre with bars and restaurants.
I will advise all my friends and family to book at Monastiri when they plan a visit at the Meteora. It’s the perfect stay at Kalambaka.

We stayed here for 2 nights.
The guesthouse is vintage style and intimate- 20 rooms. In covid-19 September days, only 8 were occupied.
We got a spacious family room, balcony view to the pool and to the meteora clifs.
The room lacks some lights, we felt like it was too much dark, plus it doesn't have a shower only a small bath. Not the most comfertable pillows and blankets I must say..

Having said that, the room was super clean during check in and after the cleaning lady came to visit in the second day.
The breakfast was super fresh and delicious, dont miss their home made pastries with cream cheese! Yum.

Ida, the owner and her staff were amazing- helpful, talking to everybody making sure if they need help in arranging a tour, getting a pool towel, some coffee and tips for restaurants and running trails.

Super nice and patient for families with young children.

The staff was also very stricked regarding corona rules, mask etc.

Super friendly staff at this guesthouse- that is what stands out most. Lovely people. We had a family room to accommodate 4 of us. The room was spacious and comfortable. The shower could use some working - if you placed the handheld shower head in the holder, it sprays the entire bathroom so you end up showering with it in your hand. Besides that the room was comfortable and the pool was super. Just be aware you need to pay 5 euros for a pool towel but then you do get a free drink/beer. The hotel is outside the busy center but you can easily walk in for dinner - 10 mins walk. The area is quite industrial so it's not a pretty part of town but it is safe and easy parking.

To call it a guest house is underplaying this very nice small hotel. Our room was large with a nice patio looking towards the swimming pool. Equipped with a/c, fridge, tv, kettle with tea and coffee, spotlessly clean and quiet. The swimming pool was an ok size for a dip, shallow one end, 2m deep the other, sparklingly clean with sufficient sunbeds for a break after sightseeing. Breakfast was choice of cereals, ham, cheese, breads, boiled eggs, tomatoes, yoghurt, fruit with cakes and biscuits, pastries, jams etc with fruit, juice and tea or coffee. A very well presented selection and friendly service. No evening restaurant service when we were there.

From the moment we arrived Dita and her helper Alex were very friendly and accommodating. We requested to leave our bags while we were gone for a day and it was not a problem. Then we had a change of plan and changed the date of our stay and they, again, easily and happily accommodated. The room was gorgeous with a balcony and a view of the pool and so much beautiful artistic detail went into the creating of this special spot. Last, but certainly not least, breakfast is served on a pretty patio and it is delicious with homemade Greek specialties. The most delicious breakfast in Greece so far! Thank you and we can't wait to come back!

Meteora is a hot place in the summer, and the pool was simply pristine and refreshing after the hiking tour. It's an easy to walk to great restaurants. Breakfast was good, room was terrific. Proprietress was very kind and helpful. Covid precautions made us feel safe.

The pool looked really nice but I did not take a swim. Many rooms open right onto the pool and there is a private patio. The owner was very nice and helpful. I really liked her. The room was spacious and comfortable. It is located only a couple streets behind center of town, so it gives you a really quiet feel with only a 5 to 10 minute walk to restaurants. There was plenty of parking around on the street and a few spots inside.
