This was our second stay at this hotel. We have dental work done in Tilaran with a great dentist. I love to stay over as it makes a nice get-away from the heat out at the northwest beaches!! Both times we had another couple join us and both times had a canasta challenge! The owners are wonderful - very friendly...

This was our lunch stop on the way from Liberia airport. The food was freshly cooked and wonderful. We stopped on the way back to the airport on our sad departure day from wonderful Costa Rica Fresh Rice & Beans, Grilled octopus, Ceviche were wonderful and very tasty. Drinks were well mixed and served on arrival

We flew into Liberia, where we rented a car and began driving in the early evening. We picked Hotel Cielo Azul because it would get us as far as we could get on paved roads toward Santa Elena (Monteverde). It was a good call to save the bumpy back roads until daylight. The hotel rooms are very basic. They are...

We were on our way to Arenal Volcano from Tamarindo and the weather turned bad and it was late. We had to make an unscheduled stop in Tilaran. We used the tripadvisor app and tried the nearest place. We had zero expectation. We were pleasantly surprised to find it open(sign said open 24/7, but you never know). We checked-in quickly...

We stayed here as it is located conveniently between Arenal Volcano and the Monteverde Cloud Forest. We had a room with a double bed and bunk beds. The room is nothing special and is no means a resort. The wind constantly blows in this location of Costa Rica. No A/C in the room. Not an issue in December, but I...

We have stayed here two times now. It is very comfortable and clean. It is family owned and ran and they are very friendly. They take good care of their customers. Breakfast is included in the stay and it is a very good typical Costa Rican breakfast. The view from the rooms is spectacular. They have a pool and exercise...

Alvaro, the owner was gracious and helpful throughout our stay...the cabins are spacious, comfortable clean (great value) and lead out to a delightful private deck with a Hammock. The grounds are beautifully landscaped -and there are horses, birds and other wildlife to see-breakfast was served with a smile on Alvaro's pretty front deck- didn't want to leave this place! LC

This is clean, comfortable and reasonably priced lodging.. The term "resort" is misleading. It is really a motel that includes a very good breakfast with the room. It is family-run and the owners are responsive and take good care of the place. Cable TV, wifi and a refrigerator were included. We were looking for a place to stay between Volcan...

Less than a KM from "downtown" Tilaran (a 10 minute walk) sits what is undoubtedly Tilaran's top accommodation. However, pricing is reasonable and includes a superb home-cooked breakfast by the matron of this family run, small, boutique hotel. Impeccably clean rooms and surroundings and super-friendly owners make for an enjoyable stay.
