We stayed here for three nights. We had a shared bathroom which luckily for us was right outside our room. Everything was explained when we arrived which was handy; tips for locking the door, warnings about low ceilings, times the doors would be locked, the fact that the whole accommodation was non smoking which I really appreciated. My partner arrived...

I had such a great experience staying at Newa Chen. The people who work there were lovely, helpful and accommodating. We had to leave at 6am to catch a flight and they went out of their way to serve us a full breakfast! They have also been very helpful with arranging taxis, giving directions, and keeping our bags as we...

We absolutely loved our stay at Newa Chen, the building is a beautifully renovated traditional house. The staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms are peaceful beautiful and clean. For the first few nights we stayed in the room with shared bathroom, then moved to private bathroom for one night. Both rooms were lovely. Breakfast is great, you get something...

Traveling in Nepal with our young teenager, this was a lovely, wonderfully interesting place to stay near the temple square. Yes- low ceilings, yes- no luxurious baths (or exercise rooms or casino or Infinity edge pool.... you can get that stuff anywhere (even Kathmandu if you want)... that was much of the charm. If you don't get that, then don't...

Had to ship out of Thamel in Kathmandu to find some peace. A nice little Unesco restored Newari house/hotel (well, B&B with breakfast that varies daily). Just off Durbar. Run by very friendly family. Hot water bottles delivered nightly, very clean. Static computer on landing for communal use. 24hr hot water. Wifi. How tall are you? Because at 5'9" I...

I usually prefer boutique hotels and family owned cozy guest house. Last year I have been in Patan in another cozy newari house, but this one is definitely at higher standards (thanks to UNESCO capital invested in). The deluxe triple room is the best choice or you cold go in the cheaper double bed with outside private bathroom. The garden...
