I've been here various times since 2007 because it is away from all the other hotels and guesthouses and has an uninterupted view of the himalayas from your own balcony. The rooms are sweet and comfortable. Even in the winter, the beds are warm and toasty. Whlst is can be an issue to get there - I've taken the bus,...

We were travelling in Nepal for two weeks with our three kids aged 10, 8 and 4. The five of us were often required to book two rooms so an adult slept in each room and the kids swapped around their preferred sleeping arrangements. The adults had travelled before, but for the kids the trip to Nepal was the first...

With uninterrupted views of the Himalayas from your verandah in your cottage perched on a hillslope, Nagarkot Farmhouse Resort definitely has the 'Wow' factor. In the morning, there is some magic in seeing layers of soft mist slowly lift to reveal mountain peaks in brilliant orange hues and green rolling farmland below. This is a small property hidden amongst the...

This is an excellent hotel in nagarkot and though the drive can be daunting on a pebbly road (we walked the last 800 m to enjoy the views), it is worth it! Being a small boutique hotel, we got the best service in Nepal, tea n hot water at any hour (even though electricity is restricted)! Plus the views of...

We chose the Farmhouse for its reasonable prices and promised grand views of the Himalayas. The views were undoubtedly great but I had mixed feelings about the hotel. Getting to the Farmhouse was quite an ordeal. It is a few miles past Nagorkot and the roads get progressively worse; becoming so bumpy and rocky that our car lurched from side...

I spent one night there, was very good, welcoming break from dusty and noisy Kathmandu. Staff was very attentive, rooms reasonable clean, cold in the evening but there is a fire place in each of the rooms. Breakfast was great, lunch could be better, dinner was good, organic chicken which was very good. Spectacular views from the balconies :) Place...

The rooms are comfortable and functional. But the roof top, with its view of the valley below and the mountains beyond was worth the price. To be able to wake up and step on to a balcony commanding that view was an experience worth remembering.

Remembering that this is of course in Nepal and nothing is ever perfect, the people at this lodge go out of their way to make you feel welcome and accommodate your needs. the rooms, while basic, are nicely done with some great touches. The food is good ( although lunch took over an hour to come so tell them in...

We stayed here one night and this was the quietest night we had in Nepal. For once, not even a murmur from a dog nearby; a nice contrast to nights listening to endless barking elsewhere. We liked the rooms and enjoyed having hot water bottles to take to bed as the rooms were a bit chilly at night. There were...
