Stayed here for one night, on arrival we were met by a very friendly lady who said we had been upgraded to a ground floor room as we had our dog with us. The room was amazing, beautifully decorated, clean and very stylish. The en suite shower was very spacious and again very clean and stylish. The bed was huge...

My husband and I stayed for one night on a five-day driving holiday around North Yorkshire. The inn was about three miles outside Leyburn so there was little to see or do within walking distance, but the welcome was warm and friendly, and the service from every member of staff was first class. We were lucky enough to get a...

Second time my work has booked me into the hotel, first time was for one night, this time was a four night stay. The staff are excellent and the rooms are opulent and warm and you really don't want to leave. The food in the restaurant deserves praise as well, everything was beautiful.

We called in on New Year's Day around 2.45pm thinking they served food until 3pm but we were mistaken, it was 2pm! However the chef and proprietor offered us fish and chips, I have never before had such excellent service, this was way beyond the call of duty as the place was empty and he has to fire up the...

I cannot speak highly enough of the Wyvill. I stayed for five days with my 10 year old son. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with such kindness and warmth from the owners and staff. Our room was wonderful with comfortable beds, beautiful bed linens and towels, and everything was immaculate. We ate dinner there every night... the...

Just got home after a fantastic 2 night break with friends at The Wyvill Arms. Everything about it was superb: the friendly and attentive staff, the delicious food, the luxurious rooms. Excellent value for money, we will definitely be paying a return visit!

On arrival we had had a lovely warm welcome from the Lady of the House who showed us our delightful room on the ground floor. Very spacious with a King Size bed and a glorious bathroom with overhead shower, large white fluffy towels and toiletries. Immaculately clean throughout with the glass partition in the bathroom so clean I nearly walked...

From the outside approaching the Wyvill I was a bit concerned that this anniversary would be the same as last years! However, how wrong was I. Upon entering we were warmly greeted and in such rustic/cosy surroundings I knew my hubby had made the right choice! Shown to our room - in the new extension. Wow! lovely suite, leather/mirrors/ and...

This is a lovely pub with everything you could need - good beer, rooms of the highest quality and a warm welcome. The highlight was the restaurant. I had the Egyptian aubergine, courgette and pepper stew which was one of the best veggie meals I have eaten and Lynne loved the lamb tagine.
