I've had this trip on my Bucket List for years. Carol Steele is an iconic Phoenix personality. We were sad to hear that she no longer does breakfast as in "B&B". It was our anniversary so the price didn't phase us. We wanted a scenic, quiet place to celebrate. Our first night, we were the only people there so with...

What a wonderful experience! It felt truly like a vacation and only 1.5 hours from Tucson! Aravaipa Farms is family run, and once you are there, you are part of the family. Each one of the stand alone casitas has all the necessities and more (fridge filled with amazing cheeses, fruit, banana bread, English muffins... yes please!) as well as...

I hate to knock a place run by such a nice person but you can tell it has seen better days. As noted in another review, it is up for sale. I think we were the only guests there that were not personal friends of the owner. It is no longer a "bed & breakfast" just a bed. The cabins...

The Aravaipa Farms website must be updated to let the visitor know that it is on the market for sale and that it is now more neglected than what is advertised. If Carol does not cook your meals (and it appears that she may no longer cook), the website advertises that you can cook your own meals in your casita....

When we booked our weekend and learned that Carol Steele was the proprietor we knew the food would be great. We had been longtime fans of Carol from her Bistro in Central Phoenix several years ago. What we weren't prepared for was the wonderful ambiance of Aravaipa Farms. From the opening view of the farm as we approached the creek...

My grandmother was born in Aravaipa Canyon in 1904. This made the adventure even more special. Carol was a wonderful hostess who made sure we experienced a nice mix of solitude and good company . Dinner was delicious and the company stimulating. We are former bed and breakfast owners who truly appreciate the details provided by this experienced innkeeper and...

Spent Friday and Saturday and hiked Aravaipa Canyon Sunday. A delight to the eyes at every turn, I was constantly surprised at the care and attention to detail. Food was delicious, with dinner instead of breakfast as the main meal. Rooms were stocked with breakfast treats - fresh fruit, banana bread, yogurt, juice, jams and lunch came in a huge...

We absolutely loved our stay at Aravaipa Farms! My girlfriend took me there as a "thank you" for doing her a big favor. I had no idea what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. The casitas were rustic, but in the best way. They were spacious and filled with delightful furniture and art. And, the fridge was packed with delicious...

The lunch on arrival was unbelievable. Included sanwiches, fruit, brie and chedder cheeses, cookies, veggies, cookies and cracker snacks. Breakfast was equally as generous with granola, fruit, yogurts, juices, etc. Plus freshly made banana bread. Dinner...well wonderful... salmon and veggies and dessert made from freshly picked apricots. Carole is a very interesting and engaging host, sharing her experiences in the...

My husband and I first visited Carol's wonderful retreat in the winter of 2003. Since that time we have had the pleasure of returning in summer, spring, and fall. Each visit was terrific w/ great, interesting food and lively conversation w/ diverse groups of people at dinner. In Aravaipa Farms Carol has created a one-of-a-kind treasure w/ playful and serene...
