This was the first and last time I go camping at this campground. Every hour on the hour the train blew it's whistle no matter what time it was. Two pm or two am it screamed. The sites were all rock with very little flat ground. The toilets were disgusting. The fire pits double as a grill and they too...

Great lake. We had a great time although next time will be a longer stay. We will definitely go back with the same group of people if not with a bigger group. I will also definitely recommend this camp ground to my friends.

Dogtown Lake Campground is a nice, high elevation camp with large, reservable and first-come campsites. Pull-through sites are available for RVs and trailers. The campsites were almost completely full and busy with lots of families. There are plenty of clean, well maintained restrooms especially considering the significant use. The proximity to Williams, AZ and I-40 is convenient if one forgets...

Dogtown Lake is a short drive from Williams and could be another planet! It's very quiet, well-maintained and right next to a lovely lake. This is a viable alternative to the Grand Canyon campgrounds which, in season, are crowded. We arrived quite late in the day and still had our choice of sites which was lovely. My only criticism is...

My family was staying in Williams, AZ and when the girls went shopping on R66 downtown Williams, I purchased my son a fishing rod and us some licenses and went to Dogtown lake for some fishing. It was a very bumpy road, but our Enclave did fine. Beautiful forest, awesome lake. We saw some people catch small trout, but we...

Our GPS couldn't tell us how to get there, VERY poor signage, but clean bathrooms, helpful staff, and a nice stay. Grandkids enjoyed the chipmunks who wanted breakfast. Hard to find a place to rinse off dishes that were used.

We stayed at Dogtown Lake campground whilst we were visiting the Grand Canyon, as when we decided to book our camping we were too late and most of the campgrounds were already sold out that were within close proximity to the park. The campground was initially quite difficult to find, being in the middle of a National Forest it was...

Beautiful camping area. Brought our toyhauler and generator with an off-road vehicle and a flatboat boat w/ trolling motor and 2 dogs. Had the nicest time. Caught 2 bass on 2 poles at the same time!! I got them both in too! [catch & release]. Stayed 5 days, stores and town is so close that its convenient when you need...

The campground is beautiful, clean, and quiet during the day. The ground hosts were extremely delightful and kind. HOWEVER, during our stay in mid June 2015, the train noise at night, despite the tracks being a distance away, kept our entire family awake. Beginning after 10pm, trains kept coming, regularly, every 30 min. or so. Each train blowing its horn...

First off the campgrounds have a nice lake and its very peaceful and quiet. However, its to fuging expensive to stay one night. The camp hosts were extremely rude and harrassed us for the money. You can camp outside the grounds for free a mile away from the lake. Youll enjoy being outside the campsite for youll find more animals...
