Stayed at the hotel as part of a package tour to the South rim and found it very nice. Clean room, comfortable beds and friendly staff. It snowed profusely overnight but the staff was efficient in clearing the parking lot, even between cars, and kept on shoveling sidewalks all day. The restaurant is cafeteria style and not the greatest, but...

We stayed 2 nights at the Railway hotel and 1 in the Maswik lodge. The room, food and service were all wonderful! It was definitely a fun trip and the package we purchased was affordable. Thanks again for making great memories!

One of the most memorable experience for my kids was on the railroad, especially with Kathy with a K. I truly believe that she, really loves her job because of the amount of energy that is put into serving and entertaining the passengers. The next trip to the Grand Canyon has to be by train with these folks again. It...

We were here for the 4th of July weekend. We wanted to go to the Grand Canyon via Train so we got a package. The room was smelly and nasty for the price we paid. We were expecting something better, the line to check in was horrible, the layout of the hotel is crazy. Our room was very far from...

Great little town, lots of charming shops with handmade local crafts and beautifully decorated for Christmas. The Railway Hotel was a wonderful place to stay with a beautiful lobby.

Clean, modern, comfortable. We have a few very picky observations: Men's room by the gift shop smells strongly of germicide, chemicals in the hot tub were so strong they made our eyes water and we had to get out, a bearded chef at the pasta station wasn't wearing beard covering while cooking. Otherwise, this was a marvelous trip with everything...

We do the package every year. This year the hotel fireplace was broken. It is so awesome we come every year for that and to find it not roaring and smelling wonderful was a huge let down. It was so cold in the lobby. You need to get your hotel and restaurant staff to be as friendly and warm as...

This is a very nice place to stay. From the outside it looks iffy. Once inside it was actually pretty nice. Check in was quick and easy. There is a nice lobby to sit in, and a bar. The building is two stories, with an elevator. Easy access. The room was of good size and very comfortable. Room include a...

Like so many others we spent one night at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel prior to taking the train to the Grand Canyon. The location is perfect for the train trip, the check in was efficient and the desk staff pleasant. She didn't seem bored saying the same thing over and over! Our room was comfortable, although pretty tight when...

Thank you for sharing your experience at the GC Railway Hotel. I am glad you enjoyed your stay and the holiday decorations. It is often our staff that makes the difference, and I am happy to hear that one of our staff helped you with your battery. I will share your comments with the GM.

Bought a packaged two-day deal for the Polar Express ride on Christmas Eve. There needs to be significantly more communication between the train depot and the hotel for ticketing and check in. We received conflicting info from both parties for the train tickets. The front desk was severely swamped in the several hours leading up to the train ride at...

I am sorry that there was confusion with your train tickets, and for the less than helpful comments from our staff. We do not have microwaves in the standard rooms and do not loan them. Our suites do have a wet bar and micro waves, and are great for families. But, we only have 10 suites. I will forward your...
