This is a very convenient stop on your way to a Grand Canyon visit. The facility offers spacious and comfortable rooms with buffet dining available. Don't expect the buffet to be Las-Vegas-like but its very much OK and the service staff are pleasant and helpful. We visited Thanksgiving week and there were a lot of people and children there for... Very nice hotel. We were very comfortable and close to Historic Route 66. Make sure when you eat at the Depot Cafe you hit the Buffets early.. They tend to run out of food. We went for the Polar Express to the North Pole with the grandkids and they had a great time.

We booked a package where we spent 1 night at this hotel, took the train to the Grand Canyon, spent 2 nights at the Grand Canyon (Thunderbird Lodge), took the train back to Williams, AZ, and spent 1 more night at this hotel. This is nice hotel. The room was clean and big enough for my family of 4 (incl.... More

This was on MY bucket list. Boy- what a great package...hotel, breakfast, dinner, train to the Grand Canyon! We were able to sneak in a short hike down and back up the Bright Angel Trail. The train ride takes 3 hours each way and it was amazingly soothing to travel this way versus by automobile. Alcohol was served on our... More

Stayed here as part of the Grand Canyon Railway package. Hotel is clean and well-maintained. All staff on site were extremely friendly. You definitely pay for the convenience of being right at the depot, but no regrets about the money spent.

What a great weekend we had there. Arrived on a Friday and got checked in right away. The room was clean and neat. We got the package so we went to the train cafe for supper. It was ok. Nothing to rave about. Then we got to ride the Train. What a great time we all had in our PJ'S... More

We stayed a couple nights at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel as we were taking the train to the canyon for the full day in between. The property is a great location for taking the train as it pulls up for you to board right behind the hotel. The hotel is clean and well maintained but old, very dated and... More

This is best seen in the context of a package including the train trip up to & overnight at the South Rim. We found this to be a very well presented, interesting hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, facilities were good, dining/food excellent, and the staff very friendly and helpful. On the expensive side, perhaps, but great as part... More

Stayed 2 nights here before and after our trip to the Grand Canyon South Rim. This was a package we signed up. Staff excellent. Their restaurant is not connected to Hotel. The setup at their restaurant was very nice too. A cowboy greeted us during breakfast one morning and on our last evening, we had live entertainment during dinner. Great... More

We found this hotel over rated, noisy, not very friendly staff at reception. Average to the price we paid. Obviously there are lots of groups staying here so no need to make any effort for guests. Buffet type supper, better to skip this. Rooms were very clean. It was difficult to park our car at he time we were there because... More
