I decided last year after a horrible hotel experience in Michigan that B&B was the way to go. The Millpond in in downtown Clarkson MI convinced me that no hotel or motel will ever come close to the "I'm sleeping at grandma's" feel that B&B's offer. Rio Tierra Casistas confirmed this on my second B&B stay. This place was a...

I had heard from friends about their fun adventure at Rio Tierra Casitas, in Wickenburg, AZ, so this past weekend, while traveling between Palm Springs and Phoenix, I made it a point of reserving a weekend stay. It was, in-deed, an adventure in Western motif and folk art, as well as a quiet and comfortable stay. Katy and John are...

We stayed in the Mexicasa and really enjoyed everything about it. We could not have felt more at home and comfortable. From the eclectic Southwestern decor, to the soft line dried linens, to the clean and well stocked kitchen and bath, all was great! The walking trails in the Hassayempa Reserve were well maintained and fun to walk and explore....

I know you all had lots of fun in the sun here as you kept busy entertaining your local friends. Thanks for spending your winter getaway with us and taking note of our special amenities we offer. As our inside joke, I think we passed the "smell test"! LOL.

I arrived exhausted from traveling from the East coast and my host, Katy, made sure I had everything I needed so I didn't have to go out for food that night. Every need was attended to with care and thoughfulness. My casita was the cutest ever (Rancho Grande), very well-decorated, and very clean. One day I asked if we could...

From the moment I arrived, I felt at home. I stayed a week and enjoyed all the benefits of a home vs. a hotel stay. Katy and John were there if you needed anything at all but were unobtrusive and respected my privacy. It's a small, quaint property and it's very peaceful and quiet. I was in Wickenburg, AZ for...

I can't say enough about Rio Terra Casita's. It was even better in person! Katy has thought of everything to make it seem like your "home away from home". The amount of thought and detail that was put into this casita is incredible. We arrived late on a Sunday night and she had the most amazing hot banana bread waiting...

It was a delight to have you both here and know we could offer just the right environment that you needed during your stay. Thank you for coming. We always love when guests go explore our river preserve as you did while here. It is rejuvenating! Wishing you both a very healthy & happy New Year ahead.

We felt very relaxed and comfortable in the Bosque Bungalow. Katy has spent a lot of effort and heart in decorating and providing delicious organic food items. We recommend Rio Tierra Casitas for travelers who wish a different and wonderful experience.

We were so glad that we found Rio Tierra through TripAdvisor, a source that we often rely upon. Many years ago, we had visited the Nature Conservancy's abutting 600 acre preserve, so we were eager to get back to the area. After checking in, we followed Katy's directions and walked onto the preserve to find the nearby Hassayampa River. It...

We are so delighted you discovered us! It was a quick visit but we so appreciate your wonderful review of your stay here, and that you value the same concerns we do about our fragile environment. It is indeed a blessing to live along a running river preserve in the middle of the Sonoran desert. It's offers a year round...

There is no better way to spend home time in Wickenburg. Rio Terra's Casitas are pure comfort. They are a wonderful respite. The Casitas are decorated with colorful, Southwestern flair. Katy has done an amazing job creating a atmosphere that is stimulating, welcoming and comforting. Stay away from a hotel room. Rent a Casita from Rio Terra. It will be...

It is so heart-warming to know how much our guests embrace the lodging we've created. Like you say, we really are a great alternative to the four walls of a motel room. Knowing you enjoyed your stay is such a big pay off for us. Thank you so much for coming and sharing your experience here.
