Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Retro. Very cool. Spotless. Manager Debbie couldn’t have been nicer & extremely helpful. Wonderful personality, funny, happy, when we checked in late and when we checked out.

Made us very comfortable. She advised us on navigating the Grand Canyon and gave us very helpful tips that we hadn’t read anywhere.

We are so happy we stayed there instead of the chain hotels. Snowed the night before and hotels were sold out. So we had an experience we didn’t expect! We were worried that the room would stay cold after seeing the electric thin thin modern radiator on the wall but just as she said in a short time the room would be perfectly warm and it was!

Had a nice tv/cable, charging station on nightstand, coffee, refrigerator was double the size of the little ones in other hotels. Bathroom was spotless, toiletries and makeup wipes were nice, good quality - kept makeup off the white towels! Great lamps all around.

If we go back we will definitely stay there instead of a chain hotel.

While a bit outdated, this mom and pop property is clean and easy to access the National Park. You can only make reservations the day of or walk in so I was called early the day of our arrival to secure a room. The price beats the “big chain” players in town. There is no pool or breakfast to go but the price makes up for it. We were quite pleased with the value.

This is not the Ritz. This is an expensive hotel in a great location. The staff was very kind and very efficient. We had some smokers hanging out in front of our room, not the hotel's fault, but we hated the smell outside because of it. If you hike in the Grand Canyon you will be very happy staying this close. It's also nice to be able to walk to dinner!

Rooms sit back from road so no noise. The manager was very nice and had our reservation slip ready. The room was disappointing. There was leftover food on the floor and smelled musty. There definitely have been no renovations since the 70’s as the bathtub is brown and stained from years of use, the strainer/hair catcher wasn’t attached.
There were other rooms listed for cheaper online at the time we were there but we decided to stay with a small business.

Diamond in the rough. This place is reminiscent of traveling in by gone times right down to an actual door key to the room. Decorated in southwest trends. Beds were comfortable and staff was delightful. No restaurant on site but plentiful very close by.

We spent the entire day at the Grand Canyon…. EXHAUSTED sis putting it mildly! Wanted a room for the nite and really didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg!! I called and spoke to the awesome lady at the front desk (im so sorry I can’t remember her name!) she said YES they had a room but would only hold it for 30 minutes! I gave her my name and said we’d be there shortly! We walked in the door 15 minutes later … she welcomed me as if she’d known me forever and already had my ticket with my name ready!! Gave us all kinds of travel information! Got into no our room… husband went to get ice, machine jammed a little she was out there fixing it for him immediately! Beds we’re comfortable. Room very clean!

If you wish to spend your night with bed buck - go there!!! On the first sight, the motel is clean and the owner is a very nice lady. But...when going to sleep, we found one bed buck on one of two beds. However, it was too late to search for another hotel so we moved to the second bed which seemed to be 'clean' and stayed for a night there. It revealed to be a wrong decision - the day after, my husband was completely covered by tens of itching red spots on his hands, legs and face. We travel a lot and we never experienced something like this even in the third world countries....So, I recommend you - check your bed before you lay down...and check your luggage when you're back home - the bed bucks love to hitch hike.

Had an overall wonderful experience staying here. The people running the place were friendly and loaded with good tips for things to do in the area. Not the fanciest in town, but a nice clean room with simple amenities and a hot shower. Right in the heart of town and close to the Park. Can't beat the price!

For one night with two adults the price was $100. There is only fifteen TV shows available. The person "working the desk" is a elderly woman, who overcharges. The rooms are also small and the TV is old. Don't stay here.

Ciao.
