Upon arriving in San Pedro after that long bus ride, we put on our packs and attempted to find Mikaso, eschewing tuk-tuk drivers and folks from town offering to help us. Learn from us--get the help! We wandered around for a while, and finally a couple kids offered to help us get to Mikaso. Normally I do not accept services...

My husband and I had a great experience here while backpacking in March. We ended up at Mikaso after abandoning a different hostel which we had reserved in advance for 4 nights, but which turned out to be terrible. Mikaso completely redeemed our experience of San Pedro. We paid Q230/night, which is a little on the expensive side, but works...

This hotel have so much potential. On the outside it looks fantastic, and I'm sure some of the rooms are great particular the ones with direct lake view. However the room we stayed in was extremely basic, the quadruple room,, which isn't an issue for us normally, but extreme dirtiness and mold all over the bathroom is. Cold water in...

We had room 10 which was a corner room with windows over looking the lake on two sides. We had chairs just out side our door so we could sit out and read or enjoy the beautiful sunrise. The chairs and lounge area outside our room are supposed to be reserved for rooms #8, 9 and 10 but everyone was...

Nice location but I think the owners have gotten lazy in cleaning the restaurant. Dusty, cobwebs and dirty Windows. But hey this is Guatemala. Nonetheless the prices were a little overpriced. 35 for a soup and 35 for fries. But hey, this is tourist area San Pedro. 3 stars for now.

Loved this little hotel. Charming views over the lake and our dorm room was small but comfortable. I did however find the restaurant overpriced. There are three wifi connections across the hotel so access is speedy and the kitchen is both large and clean. The hottubs on the roof terrace were also very welcomed!

The hotel was decent, the rooms where clean and had good bathrooms. I only reccomend better staff to be more helpful. I think a better maintenance would be better. Overall its was a nice hotel with jacuzzi's and pool table.

The dorm room with the lake view is beautiful, the other one a bit less. Staff was really nice. The hotel is located quite a bit out of the 'centre', I wouldn't recommend staying here if you're going to walk home alone or do a tour when it's (still) dark.

We stayed here for 4 nights and while we thought it was a decent hostel there were a few things that made it only an ok stay for us. We have been traveling for 3 months in south and Central America and have been staying in hostels and by no means need a lot, but were disappointed that we paid...
