For that price is fine, but is a bit too dirty (I am an easy guy) and the man at the reception could be a bit nicer to customers. I was worried not to find something cheaper and I was really tired. In another situation I would not have chosen this place.

I had a room on the top floor and the view is just amazing. The people who run the place are nice and for fifty q a night (for the room, not pp) it's a great price - cheaper than a dorm! The facilities are very basic but the sheets were clean, the bathroom was clean and for the price...

This place is great! Stayed here with my wife while backpacking through Guatemala in 2009 and again this time around with a friend. Definitely a bit rough around the edges- wouldn't shower without flip-flops- but I'm not sure what more you could expect when your paying as much for accommodations as you would for a Sunday paper in the states....

I stayed here one night because the hotel I was going to stay was booked. And it was a huge mistake. The rooms I stayed was on the ground floor. It was dirty and smelly. Also, the curtain which didn't work out so I used my blanket to hide the room because otherwise others can see through everything in my...

I like San Francisco... I stayed in the room upstairs that overlooks the lake and it was fantastic for the super low price. Very basic but perfect for me. The only downside is it's quite a hike if you're looking to go to the bar/backpacker area near the lake. It's a good 20 minute walk at least.

The people who own Hotel San Francisco and Hotel Colibri are brothers. Don't expect 3-star accommodations in the cheapest hostel in town. Also, we came during the slow season, so many rooms were clean and available. WiFi worked ok. The family is simply trying to offer a roof, a bed, WiFi when its working, kitchen, and other basic accommodations. We...

When I got San Pedro the weather was awfull and I had to stay inside for 2 or 3 days. This place had an amazing view so my inside stay was a different experience.. I spent 2 days just drinking some beers, having fun with other guesses and it was really really nice because of the view. the 3rd day...

You get what you pay for. I don't know how people can complain when they are paying 35Q a night. We got the upstairs room at the place next door and it had a great view. The place was exactly what we paid for. It was clean, and cheap. No one ever messed with our stuff, we had wifi and...

Moved here after deciding I wanted something a bit cheaper as was staying in San Pedro for longer. Everything is great. The kitchen is a bit rough though. The staff seem nice and the view is fantastic from our apartment. The owner is also extremely nice.

“ask for the highest floor”
marcheg2015, 30 Oct 2015 | Read review
“Get one of the rooms on the top two floors for the best view. If they are not available, ask every day to move. If you see someone checking out, ask about their room. The owners are super accommodating and are happy for you to move, and they will come and clean the new room for you and get it ready (we did this after our first night).”
  • View from the Hammock outside our room.
  • Great photo opportunities from the balcony.
