We spent one night here and found the hotel was clean, quiet and very reasonably priced. It is a short walk to the lake. The owners were friendly and helpful. We stay here again if we return to San Pedro.

I've just stayed 3 1/2 weeks at the hotel. Enjoyed staying there. Not a party hotel which I liked. Though you hear music from the Church and other places, but I didn't mind. It is a short walk to the Cooperative Spanish School where I went for 3 weeks and close to the main street by the lake. The owners...

My wife and I have stayed here several times. We keep coming back for the people, the price, and the location. This hostel provides the basics for about 10USD per person per day. Isaac, Elsa, and Mari are great hosts. The rooms do not have AC but the lake has a pleasant temperature. Every room has a hammock outside the...

The hotel has an abundance of hammocks for use that are all in great condition as well as spacey rooms and private bathrooms. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is in a great location only a few blocks from the main drag and boat dock but far enough that you are not kept awake all night.

Stayed at Tepepul Kaan for 3 weeks while studying at Celas Maya language school. The hotel has a link with the language school so if you are studying you get 3 meals a day included in the price of your stay, which works out at a really good value. The hotel is lovely, the bedrooms quite basic but clean and...

We stayed there one night, the owner is friendly and helpful, and runs a very Decent option in San Pedro. Rooms are comfortable, clean, water is hot alright and the price beats it all. Only the city was quite a disappointment and we left te next day to charming San Marcos.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 weeks while I was doing Spanish school. They had all the amenities you need and the owners are extremely nice, understand a bit of English, and if you know a bit of Spanish they are happy to speak it slow for you. Great view from the roof and hammocks outside every room. All...

The hotel posts a notice that they will throw you out immediately if you use drugs (smoke pot). There was also a lot of tension between the husband/wife owners. He often seemed about ready to explode. He also used some heavyhanded sales tactics when trying to get me to rent by the month the upstairs of his house. A desperate...

I really enjoyed the 2 weeks I spent at this hotel. Elsa's food was great. The staff was really friendly and took the time to chat with me. It is really quiet allowed me to concentrate on my studies of Spanish.
