I just wrote a lengthy detailed review and lost it to digi world. In short. This place is amazing, beautiful, relaxing. With a lovely restaurant, yoga, massage, games, small library, hammocks, and even a aerial silk (if you know what you're doing). Does have a steep hill to rooms and you can hear a lot of nature waking you up...

Basic but charming accommodations in a spectacular area. The upper cabins are up a bit of a steep hill and I believe they do not have electricity but have solar showers. There are two family suites with electricity and hot water. The setting is beautiful and the waterfront restaurant / bar is excellent. You must inform the very friendly staff...

Welcoming staff, beautiful location and view. Food is absolutely amazing. And an excellent price. Full of nature. Enjoyed the semi outdoor shower. Be sure to ask the launcha to take you right to the Isla Verde dock. Saves a walk from Santa Cruz. Check this one out

Upon arrival the manager was friendly but provided no extra information. For example, I had to ask how to catch a water taxi. And, I was never told which towns along the lake were worth visiting. I asked a few basic questions about internet and meals and then I asked "What else do I need to know?" And he responded...

We stayed at La Isla Verde in a family suite with our three children for four nights - wish it could have been more. The kids loved the beds on the mezzanine and our private terrace with gorgeous views of the lake was perfect for meditating. We had breakfast and dinner every night while we were there and thought the...

We did not stay here (we were renting the house next door), but ate dinner here all of our four nights in Santa Cruz as well as several breakfasts and one lunch! So ... you can guess that we liked it! You do need to reserve for dinner by 4pm and there is only one meal ( w/ a vegetarian...

Isla Verde is a beautiful resort just nestled a five minute walk from the town of Santa Cruz. Right on the waterfront it has amazing veiws from both the restaurant and the sundeck where you can literally spend all day relaxing. I found the staff were always happy to help while I was here, both the international staff who work...

I stayed here one night during my 5 days in Lake Atitlan and I have to say, it was the worst night. I'm not really sure how this place has such good reviews because when I was there, there was almost no service at all. There was someone to check me in at 3 pm, but after I dropped my...

Very much enjoyed my stay here. The view from both the restaurant and our room was great. We spent mornings and evenings sitting there enjoying the scenery. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Our room was a cabin with a view of the lake and a cool semi-outdoor attached bathroom. The climb to our cabin was about 250 steps,...

I went to this beautiful place for a yoga and singing retreat plus a couple of extra nights. Ah, sitting in a swing among flowers cascading from the ceiling, basking in the warm sun on the deck, gazing at the stars, enjoying the morning birds, dining overlooking the lake... I stayed in a single cabin high up on the hill...
