Fantastic place in beautiful location. David & Marlon were great hosts - nothing is too much trouble. The food is wow! The chef always asked us what we thought - we never had a bad word to say. Kids loved it here too.

Wow! Super friendly staff which fullfills every wish and makes you feel special. Located on a calm beach (not the main drake bay) you can overwatch the rainforest, the sea and sometimes the wales (like on our last morning). But the scenery almost gets topped by the food they serve out of the little kitchen to the long table! Best meals we have had in Costa Rica, it‘s really five star like!

This is an amazing place!! We stayed three nights and were so impressed with the service and with the food. The host, David, was extremely knowledgeable about the area and everything in it, He spent time with us telling us about his experiences and what places we should see. The cook was amazing and creative with the food he served and his presentation was excellent. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable and very quaint. The views from the front room/dining room are spectacular. We enjoyed sitting there even when it was raining. We saw so many different species of birds, plants and animals--even fireflies. The only downside was that the path leading up to the lodge from the beach was a little steep--but definitely worth it.

We stayed 3 nights at the lodge early May 2018. We had the honeymoon suite because it was only a small extra and thought it would be a bit more special (although it had a UK double bed - the smallest of our trip). It was further from the other rooms, so private, with a large downstairs deck and hammock to rest in watching the birds and Macaws in the trees. Very hot upstairs in the bedroom though! Fans are provided

The main lounge/food area was very nice and we felt like we were in a very special place - just as I'd imagine a hidden pirate cove from many years ago! Food was very good as well, breakfast from 5.30am was welcome given the early starts for snokelling trips/national park.

Bear in mind that you have to pay $6 a day for parking and $15 per person EACH way on the boat for a transfer but it is an hours ride from Sierpe. Drinks are $5 a glass of wine $4 a beer $3 a soda so it does add up after a few days, another $60 for us. Well worth visiting though - take time to walk to Drakes Bay or north towards the national park along a pathway that runs next to the beaches.

The food was some of the best we had on our entire holiday in Costa Rica! Service was excellent and everyone was very friendly and helpful to make sure tours were organised for us.

There is hardly anyone else around so a really magical spot.

This place is absolutely extraordinary. From the unbelievably helpful and communicative manager who perfectly coordinated all of our necessary travel connections to get to Bahía Drake (it is so very remote!); to the authentic and top notch food, to the flawlessly courteous staff, everything was well above and beyond our expectations. All of our tours were also coordinated by the management; and we couldn’t have asked for better guides or experiences. The facility itself is also impeccable. Extremely clean & well maintained, but still rustic, authentic and perfectly imperfect. We will definitely be back!

No, the Lodge does not operate the tours, but there are several independent operators that package the tours and there will be no problem joining a group of other snorklers going to Cano Island..

Our tour was booked by Jolanda at Las Caletas. We had to let her know before our arrival that we wanted to tour in to Sirena, as there are limited entries allowed, but she was very helpful and all arrangements were made... More
