I dove Cano Island for 4 days with Cano Divers in early April. They picked me up at the beach near my hotel (Guaria De Osa) which was convenient. The crew on the boat (captain, deck hand, and divemasters) were all extremely helpful, friendly, and efficient. The rental dive gear was in decent shape, although it doesn't hurt to bring...

My family and I enjoyed the stay at Pirate Cove. Nothing fancy but a Great place to relax and have a good quality time. The food was very good, the place is clean and the cabins are very cute with a hammock at the balcony facing the ocean. I recommend this place.

The location and hotel are great. Food was yummy, although there is no menu (of course they ask you if you have certain needs for food). Staff if friendly. The room was very comfortable, with 2 single beds for the kids which were a plus for us. Great view of the ocean and river. I loooved the little swimming pool, the...

My boyfriend and I chose to travel to the Drake Bay area in order to get some much deserved R&R (and to get away from Canada's harsh winter)... we were definitely not disappointed! We found the Pirate Cove Hotel on-line and the reviews were quite good, so we booked it. Our first contacts with the staff there were very positive...

We are a family of five with 3 teens. From the moment I first contacted Pirate Cove I felt cared for. They take immense pride in responding to any and all questions I had prior to coming. No question was too small and they often reponded within minutes of me asking- that is unbelievable Service. They made sure we knew...

We are a party of 7. We all enjoyed this little hotel with friendly service, delicious food (with seamless accommodation for those who are vegetarian and gluten free), and great tours with Gabriel ! The bungalows are rustic but very clean , situated on a hill overlooking the ocean and river. If you want a/c go for the rooms in...

We flew into the local airport and absolutely fell in love with Pirate's Cove. We stayed in Cabin number 9 with beautiful views over the ocean and the creek. Tanagers perched outside the trees on our terrace and I loved the thoughtfully provided hammock which you could relax in. The room was a good size with great air con and...

Having last visited Pirate Cove 5 years ago we were very pleasantly surprised by the changes made. Adding the swimming pool has made the end of the day very pleasant, especially with the kids being wet + happy, making the end of day beer + nuts even better! The rooms have been upgraded too but haven't lost the 'lodge' feel...

This appeared to be one of the larger hotels in the Drake Bay area, and it is very dive oriented, with many groups of divers. The owners are very friendly, and made an effort to make everyone feel welcome. They are also able to get tickets to Corcovado Nature Reserve when some of the local, smaller hotels are not, due...

We had several struggles with Pirate's Cove. We'd reserved 2 tours several weeks before - one of them they'd lost, and the other they had to move to a different day. We would up making our own arrangements online (fortunately, they did have solid wi-fi), so it worked out ok, but it was frustrating. It was also a challenge cleaning...

Sorry you didn’t like your stay with us. Unfortunately, there are several mistaken (or false) statements you have made, which I feel must be corrected. First, regarding tours, you only reserved one tour with us, and that was scuba diving/snorkeling. It is completely true that we sent you on a different day than the one you originally asked for. That...
