Detailed Reviews
We stayed a weekend for the Super Bowl. The room and public areas were clean, fresh, and spotless. The breakfast buffet has a large food choice, better than I have experienced even at Marriott concierge lounges. The tables and sitting areas are space widely so each couple/group has privacy, and there is even outside sitting. The fire pit was wonderful to sit around at night.
Our room (a standard king room) was spacious and spotless, with a good HVAC unit and thermostat. The kitchen was well equipped with very clean appliances (nice refrigerator, stove, toaster, and dishwasher) and lots of dishes, pots, pans, glasses. And if you want to eat out, there are lots of restaurants choices within a few minutes.
The staff is friendly, even in the busy (and surely for them, tiring) Super Bowl rush. I am a Marriott Bonvoy Lifetime Platinum member, and this was the best of dozens of Residence Inns we have stayed at. We are looking forward to returning for Royals Spring Training (as the stadium the Royals and Rangers use is across the street.).
I cannot imagine a better Residence Inn. This was perfect.

I have stayed here several times during Christmas time while visiting my family. The staff is always friendly and very helpful if you need information or making your stay more comfortable. The breakfast has a variety of food and tastes good. Recently, I met Victoria who works at the front desk . She made me feel like I was at home and not just a guest staying at the hotel. I appreciate her excellent customer service in making me feel welcomed. I hope you enjoyed the Christmas cookies from my sister's party that I left you!

We stayed here for a baseball tournament. The breakfast was enough to satisfy a teenager, the location was close to a lot of restaurants and the fields we adjacent. The staff was especially friendly and helpful. The reason it didn't get a 5 is because the water was never hot. It said to run the shower for 45 seconds to get it hot. It never got hot. If you don't mind an 85 degree shower it is ok, but it seemed like a waste of water and it never did get hot. Otherwise a very nice stay.

We made the reservation online for 2 nights and when we got there the people at the front desk told us that the reservation showed it for 2 nights but they only have our 2 bedroom room available for 1, she said they can surely accommodate us for both nights. She left a note for the assistant manager for the next morning to resolve the problem. The next morning the frustration started with a different girl (Assistant Manager) that had a horrible attitude and didn’t help us at all. She was cold, mean and defiant as she seemed to take joy in doubling our rate and splitting our family. Ultimately shutting us down by using the phrase “I’m done, I’m done” to everything we attempted to say. We thought she had quit, right there, probably should.
We ended up leaving the Mariot Residence Inn and went to the Holiday Inn next door, where we were treated like guests.

The main complaint I had about this hotel is that the two bedroom suites are very hot during the day time. I called the front desk regarding the temperature in the room (80 degrees), but we had set it to 68 degrees. they said they would move us to another room. We moved but the same problem occurred. Spoke with front desk again and they said that “in Phoenix during the day time the 2 bedroom suites normally don’t cool down under 78 degrees”. This is unacceptable!!! Anyways, if you stay in a 2 bedroom suites except it to be hit during the day.

I spent two nights here and the property is very well maintained, Great staff and location. I was on the third floor and I could hear the people above me on the 4th floor walking around and I heard thier alarm early every morning and to me this is a problem. Also, the elevators are located only in the center of the large building and with limited parking in front of the building, you find yourself walking a ways to get to the elevator. In my opinion, they should have put elevators in the ends of the building as well.

In addition to a lovely stay at the residence inn last month, we were blown away with the warmth, professionalism, attention to customer service and efficiency of the Manager, Travis Cornell, and his team of food service workers, Vinta and Mercedes. Having gotten some bad info on when breakfast ended for the day, we expressed our disappointment to the front desk clerk. The manager, in the back office, had a highly attentive ear out and heard that there was an issue. He came out and, having heard our dilemma, reassured us immediately that we would be taken care of. And taken care of we were, altho breakfast had ended a full half hour before. Travis, ably assisted by Vinta and Mercedes, put together a delicious, generous and healthy meal for my husband and me. We never felt we were putting anyone out and we felt their good wishes in each of the many items they offered us. This level of service is SO APPRECIATED and So RARE. Three cheers for Travis and team. Way to set an example for even the fanciest hotels. You made us feel so welcome and like Royalty!

I recently stayed at The Residents Inn in Surprise, Arizona and was extremely disappointed with the lack of privacy in the room. The daily wellness check by the representative was disruptive and interrupted my sleep. This would have been even more embarrassing if my significant other and I were being intimate. The hotel needs to ensure their guests have proper privacy and consider alternative methods for conducting the daily wellness check. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and private stay

Pretty nice Marriott - comfy bed, nicely equipped kitchen and PLENTIFUL breakfast with all sorts of selections! The pool was a tad chilly (but so was the temperature) but the hot tub was toasty. Most of the staff were truly helpful; some were basically clueless.

Our first time at this property but our second trip to Surprise. My husband and I could not stop raving about this hotel. From the cheerful check in at the stylish lobby to the spacious and well designed room, we loved every minute. Breakfast was fantastic. Mercedes makes sure you have what you need with a smile. The young man who cleans the property was EVERYWHERE. As an old fussbudget, I could not find a hair out of place here. I would love a towel rack near the sink area in the bathroom since that is where we washed hands but a minor quibble. Pool area is somewhat small. And like all of Surprise, there really is nowhere to walk. We look forward to returning to this lovely and welcoming hotel.
