After much research, we settled on Desert Quail Inn and were not disappointed at all. Room and property were very clean and room was quiet. We used the hotel just to sleep and enjoy a glass of wine by the pool, so it really fit the bill for our needs. Fireplace in room was a nice touch. It is an older hotel that was renovated nicely. Plenty to eat nearby, heard many good things about the restaurant right behind the inn, also very convenient to the grocery store. We found a real gem of a restaurant in Cottonwood, about 15 miles away called Crema (reviewed separately) -- wow! So good, we drove back for breakfast on the second day!!! Hotel is located just south of the very congested main area of Sedona -- we were happy to not be stuck in that traffic every day. Nice views! I would definitely stay again.…
Very good value close to outdoor attractions. Originally booked for two nights - we liked it so much we booked for an additional night. Easy parking. Would definitely stay again. Close to food store and small malls. Easy drive to others in the area.
Outdoor pool + outdoor [covered] hot tub. Swam in both - felt great! The pool was not heated, but open! Check in and out was very simple - I believe check in was 3pm and check out was 10? maybe 11am - we left very early to catch the grand canyon. closely located to Clarke's Pharmacy - which will be your best friend. We were tired of take out - went there to make our own. We celebrated new years at this hotel.. LOL The town very much seemed empty that night - everyone was in, and so were we. The hotels filled up quickly that weekend for some reason too - we paid $230 for 1 night here. ( i bought a couple days prior in advance) --- i have viewed prices since our stay, and this hotel is very well priced - we just stayed on a holiday...during the pandemic. Honestly, I was shocked that it was more of a motel than hotel layout. Place seemed safe and open. Pretty lit with parking lights. Rarely saw anyone else staying there, but the parking lot was packed. The front desk area seemed small, but the front desk employee (or owner..) was extremely helpful in directing/advising out of towners to adventures happening around. He gave me a detailed map and wrote details + notes for me. Breakfast not included with stay. Rooms were standard - with bathtub style shower. Clean with all the things. Located right in middle of city - around store, restaurants, and local bar. I recommend for a quick stay - it was honestly our favorite night of the whole trip. Thank you!!…
We were a group of 4 mountain bikers. A great place with a premier location next to some of the best hiking and mountain bike trail heads. The owner was very accommodating and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed including references for some fantastic restaurants. Planning to go back and stay there again.
We stayed here two nights and we were so pleased with the accommodations. The room was a nice size with nice updates. Their was no outside noise so we had a restful nights sleep. It’s conveniently located and many good restaurants nearby. The own was very nice and helpful. We will stay here again when in the area.
