Loved my stay at Vaiula. The location is amazing and is run by a friendly man called Dave. It is rustic but comfortable, but that is what fales are about. Beach is stunning and quiet. Nug is an Aussie who runs an awesome little bar there with good beer and food and he is great for a chat. He runs... More

Samoa has a reputation for beauty, adventure, kind hearted people and cheap, cheerful accommodation. Our 4 nights spent at Dave's (Vaiula) fale's did not disappoint. The accommodation itself is exactly what you see online, little shacks sitting beach front with the most beautiful views you could imagine. What makes this little gem even more special are the people. Dave, who's... More

The kids, man And I find it no hardship to sleep on thin mattresses under nets looking out on cerulean blue lagoon, waiting for the 5.30am surf call from Nug, and plotting a lazy day in sun and sea. The food is cooked by Matai Daves folk, and you are fed in the communal kitchen three times a day, included... More

Another trip to Vaiula, the staff are hilarious, the food is great, good homestyle Samoan cooking. Breakfast is great too. We always take our Vegemite to go on the soft white bread with an egg on top...yummmm. The fales are basic, mattress and sheets and a mozzie net- and my most favourite place in the world to sleep- the sound... More

Arrived late & tired & were given our Fale complete w/ mould smelling bedding. Were awakened many time by the dogs barking under our fale, literally in our ears. Two meals a day provided were near to uneatable, and Nuggs bar food at $7 Oz for canned tuna was insulting. We were to stay two weeks but fearing our health... More

Hi , Just some insight to the above. Two sides to every story. I was not present on two days due to my first baby being born 1hr away from camp. Guided surf trips via car are never offered via web or emails. Rental cars are suggested and free guidance & tips to best spots for the day suggested. Surfing... More

Having been here on surf trips a few times, staying at this place is defiantly the way to go. Close to all solid breaks and has an epic bar to keep hydrated at night. Very friendly team running the place and friendly team of dogs looking after the place!

love this place...can take the whole family and enjoy a relaxing day at the beach...beach fales are located right on the beach a few steps from the ocean. Absolutely safe for children and good running water, clean bathrooms. Perfect for the family and very very cheap.

I stayed here for 4 nights with some friends. It was a fantastic place to stay, just steps from the beach with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The beach side bar is a highlight that you cannot miss. While the amenities are basic, they are clean and everything you could want, with the staff being friendly and welcoming.

This was our first beach fale we stayed in in Samoa, you can take the bus there from Apia and the bus driver dropped us off at the fales. We were the only guests there for 2 nights. There is a great bar right at the beach where you can have a cold beer or a lunch. Food is great,... More
